"What happened, trouble?" Kai asked the girl sitting on the foyer, crying.

"Nothing." She said, wiping her tears.

"Yes, I cry for nothing too." Kai remarked rolling his eyes but sat down next to her after a while.

"I won't tell you if you keep calling me trouble." Mira wiped her tears. Kai looked at her with a slight smile.

"Okay Mirabelle Trouble You Nagami-" She lightly punched his arm, annoyed.

"Okay, okay Mira, tell me. Or if you don't want to then you can also choose not to. That's alright too." He said and Mira looked at him weirdly.

"I-I..." She couldn't tell on Elias and announce his crush to the whole world. "Can't tell you. You're right."

Kai smiled slightly and handed her his handkerchief.

"You can go inside, Kai. I don't need sympathy." Mira said sniffing.

"Right." Kai remarked sarcastically and then chuckled a little at her glare.

"How did you just... How are you even okay with me not telling you about whatever I'm not telling you about? Is that how it's supposed to be? Are you not hurt?" Mira asked, mainly thinking of how he was not curious at all. If only she was like that and let it go when it came to Nina and Elias. She would not have been feeling like this right now then.

"I am curious, but hurt? Not really. Everyone's comfortable with different things and my curiosity should never be a bigger priority than someone else's boundaries." Kai said with a slight shrug as Mira stared at him.

"Yes yes, we get it. I can see why you're the favorite sibling." Mira rolled her eyes. Kai smiled, noticing her tears had stopped.

"It gets easier the more you practice it." Kai said.

"I'd rather not practice it. I like being nosy." Mira glared at the ground. "Especially when it comes to-"

"You look tense." Mira said cutting herself off mid-sentence, finally taking notice of how his face was slightly tight.

"I do?" He asked back.

"You're lying. You know you're tense. Why are you tense?" Mira asked.

"I... I won't tell you." Kai smirked slightly as she narrowed her eyes at him.

"Great day for me huh? Everyone I thought were my friends-"

"Oh, Elias has a crush on Nina?" He asked as Mira's eyes widened.

"H-how did you k-know that?!" She asked and Kai laughed.

"I don't know, a betrayal from a friend that shook you to your core. First guess was Elias probably did something. But the boy is too kind and would do anything for you thus probably not a direct betrayal. So, maybe he started to like someone you don't like. Nina, cause that would make you the most upset. So I'm right."

"Is your power reading minds?" Mira asked curiously and Kai laughed.

"Nope, just knowing you well enough." Kai said.

"Am I supposed to be okay with the fact that he likes her? Even you favor her when it comes to training."

"I do?" Kai asked.

"Of course you do! Don't act nonchalant now."

"No no, I'd like to say I try to be as fair as I can be." Kai said mischievously.

"Right. I'd like to see how you treat your new students after the newer Luminum ceremony." Mira said and Kai smiled slightly.

"I'm not getting new students." Kai said and Mira curiously looked at him. "As long as the last one of you is a mito, I can't get new students. It's a rule."
