"New mission? Yes!" Ares jumped out of happiness. Mira and Gael groaned whilst Nina smirked. Elias comforted Mira by patting her back. She had a disappointing record surrounding missions and she was not eager to add onto it.
"I thought you'd be more eager trouble." Kai asked. Mira avoided his gaze but it snapped at her sister when she snickered.
"WHAT?" Mira snapped but then tripped on the ground within the next second. She stayed still, facing the ground. Well, her face smashed against the ground surely does count as such.
"No fighting, you two." Kai glared at Nina as he could not face his trouble's eyes with her still not getting up. He knew, if she was a cartoon there'd be fumes radiating off of that body. How cute.
"Get up trouble." He asked, fighting the smile reaching his face. The stupid brat started to get up but sure did take her time. He instructed all of them to walk inside, other than her. When he inched near her, she pushed past him ignoring his instructions with a small pout.
He stumbled a little bit and caught himself immediately. Noticing how she had caught him off-guard surprised Kai himself. Was he always this relaxed around her?
"I can stop you, you know?" He asked and immediately bundled up a little energy around his fingers and motioned the ground such that it started to move like a treadmill around the place where Mira was walking.
She glared at the moving ground surrounding her and ran to outrun the movement but it only increased.
"Should have stopped the first time huh?" Kai taunted, now moving forward and standing in front of her by bending down.
"Like this will make me talk to you." She glared and he retaliated with a smirk.
"It is making you talk to me."
Mira glared at him trying hard not to blush. Why was he at her level staring straight at her? He had the most gorgeous black eyes.
"Is that a little smile I see?" Kai said, adding his own smile which caused his eyes to shrink a little.
Don't smile, Mira, or blush. Maybe she should just close her eyes.
"I'm not smiling." She said, now desperately trying not to smile. Much to her dismay, trying not to smile makes one want to smile more.
"I think you are trouble, I see a small smile. Well, a little bigger than a small smile now."
"Kai, fix the ground. And stop calling me that, we both know you have called me by my name by now."
"I'd rather not." Kai said, now he was desperately trying not to blush. Mira knowing what he now considered his biggest embarrassment did not help him at all.
"We'll be late." She warned. Shit she could not do this anymore. He was too close. Well a feet away, but too close for her to not, well... he's... kind of...
"True. Okay then trouble, I'll meet you inside." He said straightening up and walking away. Mira stared dreamily as he walked away.
AS HE WALKED AWAY?!
"KAI! HOW WILL I GET OUT? COME BACK, KAIIIIII!" He put his hand up as good bye and disappeared into the building.
Okay Mira looked around the quicksand treadmill. Running faster was not working, so she can...?
Suddenly, an idea popped inside her head. The joy of having that idea died down when she felt stupid for not thinking of it three minutes ago when she first got stuck.
Mira jumped away from the treadmill, and as soon as she did the ground stopped its motion.
She glared at it once before running into the building.
