Jade Leywin POV

"Okay you two, ready to finally become beast tamers?" I asked Mai and Tess

"Of course" they replied

It's been a couple of months since we enrolled in Xyrus Academy and now their assimilation processes are finally over, all they need to do was trigger their first stages and they would become fully fledged beast tamers

"Okay who's going first?" Art asked

"Let's do this together" Mai said

"Ehm are we sure the training room will survive, because when Art triggered his beast will he detonated the entire inner garden" Tess asked worried

"Art has a dragon's beast will which is incomparably stronger than S class or even SS class wills like yours so your reaction shouldn't be as violent as his" I explained

"Oh, okay then"

Tess and Mai sat down several meters from each other with me and Art behind them, I placed my hands on Mai's back as close to her core as possible and I injected my mana into her triggering the dormant mana slumbering deep in her core

Suddenly a powerful gust of wind pushed me back making me fly several meters away as I felt 2 surges of mana and I could see Mai inside a ball of rotating wind, the tips of her hair turned into a greenish-white hue while feathers grew from her forearms, shins and on her face framing her face giving her an otherworldly beauty

Turning my head to the side I could see Tess in the middle of an oversized groove of vines, the tips of her hair turned emerald green and flowers formed a tiara on her head

"Wow, I feel powerful" Mai muttered

"Yeah, same" Tess replied

"Well congratulations for successfully becoming beast tamers" Art said clapping his hands

"Now let's start the fun part" I said as I entered my 1st stage

"Let's see what you can do and how long you can last in your 1st stages" I continued entering my battle stance

"Okay, Mai you'll spar against Jade, Tess you'll spar against me" Art ordered as he also entered his battle stance

Mai immediately dashed towards me daggers in hand, I used [Shadow step] to slip behind her and slashed with my own daggers which bounced off her barrier

So she has the same annoying sound barrier the garuda had huh, Mai grinned as she turned around seeing as my daggers had been repelled without her doing anything she prepared a blast of wind and shot it at me, I used [Shadow step] once again and put some distance between us, as I emerged from the shadow of a nearby tree I shot some ice spears at her, Mai screamed trying to shatter my spears and I used a soundwave of my own to counter it, the two attacks canceled out each other and my spears closed in, she used her daggers to deflect them and she charged me once again

We continued our clash for about 30 minutes before she collapsed to the ground exhausted, looking to the side I could see Tess sprawled on the ground as well panting with Art standing beside her

"Well I guess that's your limit for the time being" I commented as I deactivated my beast will

"Well 30 minutes is quite good for a start" Art added

"Says *huff* the guy *huff* that didn't*pant* even break a sweat *huff*" Tess retorted panting

"Haha well I didn't use my beast will, honestly even now my limit in the 2nd stage is barely 30 minutes so you two are doing fine" Art stated laughing wryly
