"Today's biggest priority is to..."

"Wait" I interrupted Virion and snapped my fingers encasing the whole room in a layer of mana so thick it distorted even the movement of the aether

"Now we should be safe from eavesdropping, even from the asura" I said

"Thank you, now as I was saying we need to find a safer place than the Castle" Virion announced

"It doesn't exist, at least not on this continent" Blaine stated grim

"Actually, I might have a place that suits our needs" Bunhd spoke up

"Are you talking about that?" Virion asked

"Yes, I think it's time we use it"

"What are you two talking about?" Priscilla questioned

"You see, a couple of months before the start of the war Bunhd had found a very peculiar place, like this Castle it's a structure left behind by the ancient mages, a safe sanctuary hidden below the desert of Darv and protected by powerful spells" Virion explained

"Why haven't you told us about this before?" Blaine asked accusingly

"Because first we needed some time to figure out what that place really was and second we couldn't afford this information to leak, I remind you that we had traitors sitting on this table with us and that our former allies had now also turned against us, if we had spoken about it would have made the shelter useless" Virion replied annoyed

"Even if we move there what if that place gets found too? If our enemies discover that we're not here anymore they'll start looking for us, they might even attack other cities" Merial asked

"I can solve that" I stated

"How?" Alduin inquired curious

"My golems, I'll create a series of golems with your exact appearance, with a couple of beast cores they'll even be able to use a bit of magic and I'll make them so that you will be able to control them from afar, this way no one will even know you're not here" I explained

"That's a pretty good idea, we'll only bring the barest minimum of personnel" Blaine stated

"Correction, you will bring NO personnel at all" I countered

"What? You expect us to live without any servants?"

"Yes if you want to survive, the more people we take the more the risk of getting found out, only the Council, their families and the Lances should know about this place, no one else, a Lance will periodically visit the Sanctuary carrying dimensional rings stuffed with supplies, we'll say it's just patrolling and stop there without drawing attention" I explained

"What about guards?" Blaine countered

"You won't bring them either, the place is secret and only you will be there so there's literally nothing to guard from"

"There might be mana beasts" Alduin observed

"Virion, Bunhd and Priscilla are all silver core mages they're more than capable enough of dispatching a couple of stray mana beasts also I will personally escort you there and handle anything I think it's too strong for you" I clarified

"Oh come on there has to be at least one of you that knows even the barest minimum of cooking and cleaning" I said a little exasperated at their looks

"You remember you're talking to royalty and high nobility right?" Mica stated

"Oh god" I facepalmed

"Why can't we just stay here? You proved to be strong enough to kill even asuras, you can just guard us you are still a Lance afterall it's part of your duties" Blaine wondered
