White

Everything around me was an endless expanse of pure white, it was bright but not enough to be blinding, despite not having any way to distinguish between them I could tell where the ground stopped and the sky began

I tried to remember what I was doing before ending up here, I was fighting, we were retaking the city of Millvern when my core started acting strange, before I could do anything it shattered in a million pieces, wait my core shattered?!

"Hello"

As I was starting to panic a female voice called me and I turned around, appearing out of nowhere a girl approached me walking slowly, she was young or at least appeared to be young with gray blond hair, almond shaped, clear blue eyes and fair skin, she was walking with a certain elegance in her steps like those of a young noblewoman

"Who are you? And what is this place? Are you the one that brought me here?" I asked suspicious as I tried to form some spells

"Fufufu why don't you slow down first, I'll answer all your questions to the best of my abilities okay" she laughed

"Also doing that is pointless here, there's no mana in this place and there's no mana inside us either" she continued

She was right, I couldn't sense an inkling of mana around me and I couldn't augment myself either

"Why don't we sit down? I think it'll be a long talk" the mysterious girl proposed

"I don't have time for that, I was in the middle of a battle, who knows what will happen without me"

"Relax, technically your physical body is still there, this place is the space in-between worlds and we're nothing but soul projections, also time doesn't really flow here so you don't have to worry about how long this will take" she replied nonchalant

"*sigh* fine" I relented and sat down

"Now for your questions, I wasn't the one that brought you here, that's your doing as for who I am well you should already know, you read about me after all"

"Cecilia?" I asked unsure, she's the only character in the novel who's description match with the woman in front of me

"Ding ding ding! Correct!" she exclaimed in a cheerful bright tone

"Wait, are you really Cecilia? Your personality is different from how it's described" I asked suspicious

"Hmm, yeah I know, I guess either Agrona put me under a mind controlling spell or all the time spent here thinking about all the mistakes I made in my life changed me" Cecilia said shrugging her shoulders

"Alright sure, what did you mean when you said this is my doing?"

"Well as I said this place exists in-between the various dimensions of the multiverse and we're just soul projections, as for why we can communicate like this well when you reached the integration stage you finally managed to inherit the full powers of the Legacy from me, this caused our souls to connect allowing us to talk like this"

"What? Legacy? What are you talking about?" I asked completely at a loss

"You see the Legacy is a special entity inside the multiverse, it's purpose is to keep the balance, whenever someone amasses too much power or whenever something apocalyptically catastrophic is about to happen the Legacy is sent in that dimension, you were supposed to reincarnate once you reached the natural end of your previous life, then you would have received the powers of the Legacy and you would have been sent in your current dimension, although in that case you would have lost all your previous memories, unfortunately due to Agrona forcibly trying to reincarnate me the powers of the Legacy were stuck in my soul, when he understood he needed some anchors in order to reincarnate me he attempted to reincarnate Grey, he succeeded and since that would have destroyed the balance of the multiverse your reincarnation was anticipated, this caused you to retain all your memories of your previous life and you basically took advantage of Grey's reincarnation to come into this world, which is why you have been reborn as twins but since the powers of the Legacy were still stuck into my soul you have been born as a regular kid, that said those powers were slowly being transferred to you over time"
