"I think this is a win for me" I stated as I slid my sentry to the other side of the chessboard

"Huh? What? How?!" Caera exclaimed shocked as she observed the board

We were currently playing at Sovereign's quarrel in Arthur's room where he left the descension half of the compass

"*sigh* Caera, just give up you can't beat him" Mai told her

"Never, I'm the one who taught him this game, I refuse to be beaten so easily by someone who has played this game for less than a week" she replied determined

"Is this what you tell Arthur when he beats you?" I teased her

"I don't know what you're talking about, I'm the one who usually wins between us"

"Caera, I can perceive lies" I stated deadpan

"*urgh* Just how the hell are you two so good?" she complained

"Well Arthur always had a knack for military strategy, I'm pretty sure he's a better strategist than even my grandfather" Tess chimed in

"As for me I just calculate every possible combination of the board" I revealed

"Huh? Is that even possible?"

"For him? Yes, for any other person in the world? No" Mai replied

"*sigh* how long do you think we'll have to wait?" Caera muttered looking at the compass

"Well you're the expert of the Relictombs here, you should be the one who tells us that" I told her

"*sigh* I know but for every day we spend just waiting, the chances of the Wraiths breaking into the barrier increases"

*bzz bzz*

Before I could think about something to tell her my ring started vibrating

"Hello?" I picked up

"Jade? I know you two must be busy but would it be possible to arrange a meeting with you and Arthur? There's someone that would like to exchange a word with you two" Cynthia'a voice came out of my ring

"Ehm, I'm free right now but I'm afraid Arthur isn't available and I have no idea when he'll have time so..."

Before I could finish the compass started shining and a shimmering oval of light appeared midair, Arthur and Regis walked out looking very tired and covered in filth, blood and dust

"Actually, he just came back from his mission, give us 20 minutes to get ready and we'll be in Xyrus" I told her

"Oh, perfect then, I'll wait for you two at the teleportation gate" Cynthia stated before closing the call

"So how did it go?" I asked Arthur as he was breaking a hug with Tess

"Good, more or less, I obtained the third keystone although it took me some time" he replied a bit worn out

"Oh don't worry it's only been three weeks or so on this side" I reassured him

"Ehm, what are you doing here?" Arthur addressed Caera confused

"We'll talk about that later, now we need to go to Xyrus City, apparently there's someone waiting for us and since it's Cynthia who contacted me I think it's pretty important" I spoke up before Caera could say anything, given that the request comes from Cynthia it's likely that Avier asked her to contact us and if it's Avier who asked for us I think I know who's behind this
