Jade Leywin POV

| 1 week later |

"Let's stop here, if we get closer they might notice us" I ordered, we were in the middle of the mission to free the elves captured by the slave traders

Everyone stopped and took formation fully encircling the enemy camp which on the outside looked like a simple, old shack on the inside I could sense a complex system of subterranean tunnels leading to several big rooms where the prisoners were being kept

"So, what's the plan?" Helen asked me

"They have a couple thousands prisoners and they number 400, 50 or so are mages, the strongest one is in the solid orange stage everyone else is either red or black" I stated

"Then what are we waiting for? we can just charge in, kill everyone that doesn't surrender and free the prisoners" Darvus exclaimed

"*Sigh* it's not that simple Darvus" Caria commented

"Why? we have several silver core mages, the strongest white core mage in the continent and more than 30 yellow core mages, what do we have to fear? any of our silver core mages could kill everyone in there without breaking a sweat!" Darvus protested

"Darvus, our top priority in this mission is saving the civilians, we can't afford to be spotted because if the slave traders use the civilians as hostages it'll become a giant mess, we need to keep a low profile until all civilians are safe, after that we can go all out and destroy them" I said

"Alright, so what's the plan?" Mai returned the conversation to its original topic

"Bagroth if I share my memories about the locations of the various cells with you and your men can you build a series of tunnels leading there from here?" I asked the captain of the small team of dwarves Virion managed to find me

"It depends on how deep they are" he replied

"The deepest cell is around 50 meters below us"

"Then yes we can do it, it'll take us a couple of hours since we have to keep things inconspicuous but we can do it" he said confident

"Great then let's get to work" I stated as I reached out touching his forehead with my index and middle fingers I transmitted the memories of the rooms I sensed to him

"We'll do one room at a time, tell me before connecting the tunnel with the room, I'll cast an illusion spell so the bandits won't see anything and soundproof the cell so they won't hear us either" I instructed

"What about the first room? the one closest to the surface? they keep taking women in and out" Bagroth asked unsure

"Yeah, that will be a risky part, we'll keep that room for last, after we evacuated everyone else, half of us will go down the tunnel while the other half will stay here and escort those we already saved to the closest city, some of those that will go inside will engage the bandits while the others will keep the remaining civilians safe as they run away with the tunnel, remember we need the leader alive so we can interrogate him about his connection with the alacryans" I stated

"Why do they keep bringing women in and out?" Tess asked confused

"Trust me you don't want to know" I said

"Oh....oooohhhh, scum" she muttered darkly

"We also need someone that will enter the cell first, if the prisoners panic it'll make things more difficult" Helen observed

"I'll do it" Tess volunteered "the prisoners are mostly elves right? then they'll trust me"

"Perfect then Tess will be the one who will enter the cells and tell the prisoners to escape" I agreed
