"I don't want to die!"

"Please help!"

"NOOO!!!"

The desperate screams of the soldiers filled my ears as I fired one spell after the other trying to lessen the burden on our army as much as I could, I stomped on the ground and casted [Nilfheim], everything in front of me turned into pure white as the ground and the soldiers on it were frozen solid

It's been several hours since Mai and Tess defeated Bilal, with him gone and with Lyra nowhere to be found as busy as she was fighting Yozora the alacryans' morale plummeted, right now they were only fighting out of desperation and I could hear some of the officials were starting to consider a retreat

I guess it's time to make them surrender, I flew up and started gathering water mana once again, I started shaping it into lenses high in the sky as I prepared [Trisagion], as I was collecting the sunlight Yozora came crushing down the sky Lyra under her

Both of them were injured but it was obvious who had the upper hand, Yozora had several cuts and I could sense some broken bones and an internal hemorrhage, that said thanks to her ability to use shadows to enhance her regeneration she was actually in a better condition than her look would suggest, I always envied this ability of hers I mean sure I have an enhanced healing factor thanks to her beast will which is pretty sweet but she can quite literally recover from wounds in the middle of a fight! That's just unfair!

Lyra on the other hand was bleeding profusely from the many gashes on her body and had several bones broken, to the point that some were actually visible from the outside and a couple of her internal organs weren't exactly in a good shape either but most of all she was almost out of mana which means the regeneration the vritra blooded humans boosted would soon disappear

At the sight of their commander barely standing on her feet, looking utterly exhausted the alacryans fell into utter despair, they already lost a retainer and the other one looked on death's doorstep, on the other hand on our side I was unscathed and still had more than 70% of my mana while Alea was just slightly below half of hers as for the soldiers they already lost almost 3/4 of their soldiers while we lost barely a tenth

Lyra looked around taking in the sight of her desperate soldiers and I could see defeat in her eyes, she locked eyes with me and saw I was preparing [Trisagion], tears welled up in her eyes as she dropped on her knees and lowered her head breaking eye contact with me

"We surrender.....you can do anything you want to me, just please spare my men" she said, her voice trembling as she offered her hands to be cuffed

"Tell your men to throw away their weapons, drop on their knees and put their hands on their head, you'll be taken prisoner, as long as you behave and collaborate I assure you you'll be treated humanly" I told her

"But if even a single one of you tries anything, I'll slaughter every single one of you understood?" I continued and just to be sure to drive my point I released my [King's force] and let one of the water lenses I prepared fire a ray of concentrated sunlight into a nearby rock melting it completely

"U-understood" Lyra replied before turning towards the soldier closest to her

"You, go tell the higher officers to communicate to all our troops to surrender" Lyra ordered him

The man just nodded and ran off towards their command tent, I also activated my Lance ring opening a communication channel to our command tent

"General Leywin here, the enemy has surrendered, I repeat the enemy has surrendered, as soon as they stop fighting our troops can take them into custody, remember to NOT mistreat anyone I won't tolerate any insubordination on the matter" I stated
