Chapter 13: The Fight Begins.

The group would stand in shock as Glitch watched over them, he had a slight static like aura around him. Skyler would come running out sensing the demonic presence outside and looking at him she would instantly know who it was.

Skyler, Sonny, Elra all stared at him, "Glitch!?" "Glitch!!" "Dad!?" Would be their responses one saying it after the other as Glitch himself just held his arms out as he smiled smug like, "The one and only." He'd say as Elra closed her hand into a tight fist of rage, "Why are you here." She'd say coldly her eyes glowing a bit out of rage.

Glitch smiled as he looked down at her, "I've decided I no longer needed an apprentice, I'm good enough on my own, and having a follower such as yourself would be a pain. So I figured I'd kill you and absorb your soul. I decided now would be a good time cause I just so happen to be passing by when I sensed your presence, and figured I could just kill you here." He'd say calmly as Sonny glared at him, "Over my dead body." He'd say in a serious tone, he'd stand proudly, his physique more toned now as he was ready to fight.
Glitch looked towards this man speaking down to him as he glared in confusion, "And who would you be? Her boyfriend? Sorry but you'll have to move on, this is a family matter and you will not be needed."

Elra growled as she started remembering everything now, "You're not my family! You never were!" She screamed at him, only for the man to shake his head and shrug, "That's okay cause I considered you disowned anyway. Welp, time to finish this."
He'd say, before flash stepping in front of Elra about to slice her in half with his sword but was instead blocked by Demons Fate as Sonny held it over his head with little struggle, the two blades clashing would cause several bursts of hellish energy to emit from the center, Elra would jump back giving them space as she was a bit shocked from this.

Glitch glared at the boy in annoyance, "So, you're able to hold up against my blade huh? It must be quite the sword if it's still in one piece!" He'd yell, kicking Sonny in the stomach throwing him back which caused the boy to crouch on the ground as he would cough a bit violently from it before standing back up gripping his handle more tightly, his eyes glowing a bit blue from the built up energy inside him.
Glitch just sighed and looked at him, “You're quite strong, most people would have given up after such an attack, I guess I should use more effort th-” He'd mock and taunt before being interrupted by a sudden, "Shut your mouth!" By Sonny who would snap at him. “What did you just say?” He'd respond a bit confused on how someone as young and as uneducated as this brat could ever talk to him in such a manner only to be more shocked when Sonny followed up with, "I said, Shut. Your. Damn. Mouth!!" He'd yell in even more anger, gripping his sword handle with more fury. “Why you should watch your own mouth you mutt.” Glitch would snap back now pretty ticked off at this insolence. "You think you can just kill your daughters and go about your day like it's a normal thing!? I won't let you, I refuse!" He'd scream at him as a blueish aura went around the boy, “Well, if that's what you think, then stop me.” Glitch would respond before moving so fast there wasn't even an after image, now headed straight towards Sonny about to slice him down only for Sonny to just close his eyes breathing in and out clearing his mind and opening up his senses, seeing a clear area around him and Glitch right about to slash him before he opened his eyes and parried Glitches blade at super speeds moving behind Glitch and kicking him in the back causing him to fly into the side of the den causing a small explosion of energy when the man landed as Sonny stomped his foot back in the ground, holding his blade as if it was no effort at all.

Elra a bit worried now that Sonny still might not be fully ready, Glitch was extremely unpredictable, she wanted to enter the fight but didn't wanna get in the way. "Sonny.. be careful, he isn't one to underestimate." She'd say softly, as Sonny with his eyes still on Glitch shook his head, "I'll be fine, you just watch."
Elra would hesitantly nod backing away next to Skyler who was also watching.
Glitch would slowly get back up, climbing out with his eyes now glowing bright purple, his whole body would glitch a bit as static waves would swarm him and Sonny, before he would suddenly teleport behind him and knee Sonny in the back throwing him towards where he landed in the den, switching the tables, only for Sonny to stop half way by catching himself on the ground before landing by stabbing it with his claws. Now with little time to react Glitch would be right there throwing a punch with a fist surrounded by hell lightning only to be blocked by Demons Fate followed by another small explosion of energy from it, Glitch would then start using the loose energy floating around to increase the speed of his punches towards Sonny with most getting blocked and the others hitting his shoulder or chest causing near instant bruises from the force.
(Hell Lightning: A lightning of many different colors with the strength to fry souls and even worse, the flesh of the victims all in the shape of Electricity, it also has the passive power to absorb energy. More about Hell Elements are in the future of this story.)

Glitch now frustrated with the durability of this kid would begin punching faster, "Why. Won't. You. Die!?" He'd yell in anger as Sonny just kept blocking, "Gonna have to try harder than that!"
With that response, Glitch would grow as he would begin to throw an even stronger punch that was blocked by pure instinct which caused a large explosion throwing Sonny back followed by large dust clouds coming from his feet which dragged through the dirt due to the force.
Sonny now using the distance to his advantage would yell out: “Soul Blade!” and with his irises glowing bright blue and his swords blade surrounded by a large purple aura, he would swing it down with all his force, sending a large purple crescent shaped blade of pure energy towards Glitches direction at such fast speeds he didn't have time to react in a way that would allow him to dodge resulting in a large explosion followed by a shockwave half as powerful.
Sonny a bit shocked that it hit would smile in excitement, "Woah.. I got him!!" He cheered before suddenly being interrupted by Glitches voice as he simply spoke, "Oh but did you now?" He said with a very cold and very annoyed voice from the now clearing smoke and dust as his arms made an X shape block in front of his face, as there would be a barrier surrounding him.

Sonny's excitement had died off quickly as he stared in disbelief, "A barrier..?" He'd question a bit confused, he had no clue or no knowledge of this which was exactly how Glitch had planned. "That's right. A barrier." The same annoyed voice had spoke as Glitch has had it with this brat, he wanted to finish the job, and if Sonny hadn't interfered perhaps he could've been spared, but since he joined in the fight, there was no chance of that ever happening.

Sonny now thinking of all the power he put into that attack began questioning everything, "It took Soul Blade like it was nothing..." Hearing these words gave Glitch the opportunity to add salt to the visible wounds, "That's cause it is nothing! It was a simple waste of energy that had no power behind it." He'd mock to try and throw Sonnys hopes down as much as possible.

Elra herself stood there silently, unsure of what to do, for years she planned to kill Glitch out of revenge, but now that he was here, she couldn't even move. ".  .  ." pure silence was all she could say, or well, not say more so.

Skyler now annoyed of Glitch would simply sigh, "Alright, I'm interfering I refuse to stand back and watch you lose to this freak show." She'd say walking forward before stopping suddenly due to Sonny yelling out, "No! This ones mine. I was given my old mans sword, I'm not gonna let it get disgraced." He'd protest as Skyler rolled her eyes, "Sonny come on, be reasonable." She'd try to convince but she should have already learned that convincing Sonny not to do something he was set on, was almost near impossible as Sonny looked to her, "Skyler please, let me have this fight." He'd say with a serious tone and look.
Skyler just gave in with a small nod and sigh, "..Fine, but if I notice things going wrong, I'm interfering no questions asked."  Although she was letting Sonny fight, she was still ready to jump in, though what is mostly letting her not interfere is to see how this fight goes down, it's the best test Sonny could take to see if his training was all worth it.
Sonny just nodded in agreement to these terms, "Fine." He looked at Glitch with a fury in his eyes.

Glitch began to mock more as he glared st the boy, "Oh how cute, what a fun family you have going on, whatever, I'll make sure to kill that mutt as well when I'm done with you." He'd straight up throw blows at Skyler with his words as Sonnys eyes would widen fully once Glitch insulted Skyler. "You bastard!!!" Sonny out of pure rage of the man who insulted his caretaker would move so fast he would actually flash step behind him and slash through Glitches barrier like it was nothing and would keep the swing directed towards Glitch, only to be blocked by his sword that was seemingly by his side the whole time. Sonny would stand there now panting, his blade nearly fused to Glitches sword. “Are you done with your little temper tantrum?” He'd say looking down at Sonny in annoyance, "Like. . pant. . hell. . pant I am. . ." He'd say out of his exhaustion, he had pushed his limits, all the training he did lead to that, but in the end, it didn't get him too far except destroying the barrier, but his speed was something even Elra couldn't match in that moment.
Glitch clearly not in the mood to waste time just sighed, “Well, I say you are.” He'd say in a bored tone before kicking Sonny in the stomach throwing him far back and by the time Sonny stood back up and straightened his back and gripped Demons Fate to rush back at Glitch, the demonic sword that the demonic man held would be through his heart and back as Glitch would be standing there with his hand out as if he threw it, which he did.
Sonnys Gi top would now become stained with blood as his hands would drop and Demons Fate would slip out of his hand and stab into the ground.
Skyler and Elra would become frozen with shock and an intense fear at this suddeness as they called out at the same time in this fear, "Sonny!!"
