Chapter 20: An Unexpected Parting.

Sonny would groan out in annoyance as he held Skyler, "It's just unfair!" He'd frown as Sky comforted him, "Humans were never fond of hybrids or supernatural beings ever since the third era when humans and gods had fought. Atleast I believe it was the third era, perhaps it was the fourth, who knows.” She'd say calmly as Sonny shook his head still saddened, "Well still, I saved their daughter, like I didn't expect or care for a thanks, but I didn't want that! Why should I be hated even though I helped them!?"
Skyler would look down to the boy saddened at this news, "Sonny, listen to me, this is an important lesson. Grand acts won't always be given grand rewards."
Sonny jusf sniffled as he looked up to her,"Yeah. . . I suppose. ." He'd agree as Skyler looked to him, "Just stay away from the village from now on, or use a better disguise, and hey. . . I enjoyed the ingredients you bought me, now come on, I'll make you something special as a reward for your good actions, and I know it's hard after losing a family and now being hated by humans, but we still have each other so don't feel too bad alright? The pack sticks together." She'd comfort him as Sonny nodded, "Alright. . ." He would say before breathing in and out to calm his mind and proceeded to eat the food he was given as he smiled a bit, "Thanks Sky." He'd say, "No problem." She'd respond softly.
After they finished eating Sonny would go rest up and by the next day he would awaken and go outside and start training with his sword then went and meditated before going back to the den and sipping on some tea made by the wolf, still unknown how it was made but still, it was good.

Skyler would sip her own tea despite her wolf form, "You've been quiet, everything alright?" She'd ask as she checked on him, "Yeah, just trying to keep my mind clear." Sonny would simply answer.
"Oh alright, well if you ever need to talk, I'm here." Sky would say.

Sonny just smiled and sipped his tea, "Thank you, Sky."
Skyler would just smile, "Anytime Sonny." She'd answer back before going and sitting by the other exit to the cave which was next to a lake within the den that was hidden from the village as she would relax while watching it.
While she was doing that, Sonny would go and hone his sword skills even more before deciding to climb one of the trees and look out over the field as he grew a small smile from how relaxing the day felt other then the training he's done.
"I've made it so far, yet have so much farther to go..." He'd think to himself.
He would then proceed to hop down as he landed on his feet before going in the den to find Skyler and sit next to her leaning against her and relax as he watched the lake with her.

Skyler would look towards the boys direction, "Well hello." She'd calmly welcome him, "Hello." He'd answer back softly. "You alright?" She'd ask once again making sure, "Yep." He'd respond, "Good." She'd say back, it was small talk but it was nice and after a few hours they would go back inside and lay down as Sonny would cuddle next to Skyler due to how comfortable her fur was and soon fall asleep along with her.

                          Meanwhile

Veronica and Velocity would be standing a bit far from the den but in a spot where it was as clear as day as they watched it.
It would show Amares mouth as it grew a smile as he said: "Do it."
Going back to the girls they would say out loud: "Yes lord Amare!" As they threw their hands in front of them after doing circular movements with them as a large circle with demonic shapes form in front of their hands and a large glowing purple and black sphere of energy formed before being shot a lightning fast speeds straight at the den resulting in a large explosion destroying it and turning it to rubble. They would then turn around and go back into a portal leaving the destruction behind.

During this it would show Rei relaxing as Elra was training in the Dojo they were in before Rei turned his head to the side having a more serious look on his face than usual as Elra would stop and look over at him, "Sensei, you okay?" She'd ask. 'Something... feels off.' Elra would squint as she looked to where Rei was looking, "You're right... gasp Sonny!!"
