Chapter 23: A new acquaintance, Hazel!

The breeze would lightly blow as there was a calm feeling throughout the day and the trees brushed against one another and Sonny would be walking through the forest just wondering to himself before suddenly he'd hear a more feminine voice yell behind him, “Sonny!!!”
Sonny not expecting this to happen as it completely went over his strong senses, and now startled jumped and looked behind him, only to see it was a brown wolf about half the size Skyler was, and with her purple eyes she would be looking up at him, “I can't believe I actually found you! I've been searching for years only using a sample scent of you!!!” She said excitedly as her face gave the expression of ':3'
Sonny still understandably confused raised an eyebrow looking down at her, “Anndddd you are?” He asked as she jumped a bit now, she completely forgot to introduce herself, “Oh! My bad, I'm Hazel, and I was sent to find you by my mother Skyler!!” Hearing this Sonnys eyes widened, “You're her daughter!? That's funny cause she's kinda like my mom.” He smiled some remembering the times she was around and Hazel nodded, “Yeah! I guess we're like siblings then huh?” She asked as Sonny smiled cheerfully, “Yeah!!” He said happily before Hazel spoke again with less cheerful news, “Thing is though, I don't actually know where she's at.” She said as Sonny now less cheery looked to her, “What do you mean?” He asked her as she sat down, “Right before she told me to go find you, she said she needed to go into hiding as she was being hunted by my father. . .” She would explain as Sonny tilted his head, “Who's your father?” He asked her further as she only shook her head, “I don't quite know, he was rarely ever around and he always hurt her before leaving. . .”
Hearing that this guy hurt his own caretaker sparked a bit of anger in Sonny but he would calmly shake his head cause he knew that Sky was strong, he knew her strength despite not actually knowing her full power, “This guy must be tough he if can hurt Skyler, I guess I need to kick his ass then huh?” He said as Hazels eyes widened, “It's not simple like that! We don't even know where he's at!!” She protested as Sonny nodded in agreement, “Well then, let's find Sky first and then I'll kick his ass.” Hearing this, Hazel would question her new found friend, “. . .are you overly confident or just stupid?” and to this Sonny would burst out laughing, “Both!!” He'd say with a large smile and laugh causing Hazel to even giggle a bit and with that, Sonny would stretch his back and wings before continuing off, “Well, let's continue onward, I'm sure we'll find her eventually!!” Sonny would say as Hazel would nod, “Yeah, let's go!!!”
They would continue forward and eventually pass by a small village that appeared empty as they entered it, it was early dawn at this point making villages more empty.
Hazel walking by the boys side looked around, “This place seems. . . eerie.” She said quietly so no one with human ears could hear, but knew Sonny could hear, it was an old technique used by wolves to hide from hunters.
Sonny would nod, “Maybe everyone's in bed still?” He'd question before putting his hands by his mouth to make himself louder, “Yo everyone! Wake your asses up!!” He'd yell out as it echoed through the village only for it to make no sound.
Hazel would listen for anything only to hear no sound, “. . .Nothing.” She said as Sonny looked around, “That's odd.” He would respond back and before anyone else could say anything, a female voice spoke behind him, a voice he didn't recognize but changed so much in his life, it was Velocity, “Yes, quite odd isn't it.” She'd say with her left hand on her left side and next to her was Veronica, “Indeed it is.” She'd say with her right hand on her right side.
Sonny seeing this, tilted his head at them a bit confused, “Who the hell are you two?”
Veronica and Velocity smiled at him, “We're the duo devil girls of the Paid Lovers Business in the Underworld commanded under Lord Amare!!”
