Chapter 24: Came to finish the job.

A few hours earlier, Amares voice over a pink heart shaped crystal being held by Veronica would speak, “Sonny wasn't killed in that explosion, his little sword protected him, otherwise it would've shown an X over his wanted poster, finish him off.”

        
          Present at the abandoned town

Veronica and Velocity now posing with their weapons, “We're the duo devil girls of the Paid Lovers business in the Underworld commanded under Lord Amare and we came to finish the job!” They'd say proudly as Sonny a bit confused still standing next to Hazel, “Uhh the who of what now?” He asked as Veronica scoffed, “Ugh, I think that explosion caused him brain damage.” She'd say annoyed that their entrance was shut down by the boys confusion as Velocity nodded, “Most likely.” She agreed. The word explosion however sparked a rage in Sonny who froze once hearing them speak, his eyes widening some as he slowly began to speak, “Explosion. . ? Wait. . . Were you two the ones who. . .” He began to say slowly, Hazel noticing this backed up some, she didn't know Sonnys strength or the demon he had, but she knew that he was raised by Skyler and that he had to be strong because of that.
Velocity seeing that the boy was caught of guard and seemingly vulnerable smirked, “Correct, and we did so in the name of Lord Amare, but it appears you lived, perhaps it's that sword yours like Amare said?” She said but Sonny now feeling more rage ignored the question as he glared at them, he was already still tired, and to find the people that destroy his second home pushed him, “So you caused all this?!?!” He yelled out in anger. Veronica smirked in pure amusement at the boys temper, “Hmph, that's corr-” before she could finish her sentence, Sonny would instantly flash step and reaching his arm over and grab the top of her head as her face would be slammed into his knee causing her to fly back with blood shooting from her nose which was now most likely shattered, as he looked over at Velocity who would be pulling out a sword, now shaking a bit from fear, not expecting this strength from the boy. Veronica would look away wiping blood off her face and healing her nose as she growled and flash stepped back over there next to her sister.

Sonny would growl and yell, “Because of you I lost my second family!!!” His rage was very clear, it was as if he was the demon now and Velocity seeing that her sister was fine got a morale boost, “Well too bad Sonny boy, should've minded your own business instead of getting involved with Amares!!!” She'd say and run so fast she'd turn invisible and start moving around Sonny leaving small cuts all over his body and he'd react and dash away before pulling out Demons Fate right before a large cut would go across his chest which would cause him to stumble back a bit.

Hazel now finally having the clear mindset to react as it was too fast to even do so before, “Sonny, be careful!!” She said now worried as Sonny just kept his eyes on the two opponents, “I'll be fine, stay back.” He said, his voice was filled with anger but also calm as if not trying to take it out on Hazel, only the two in front of him.
Veronica would now flash step behind Sonny causing a whip to wrap around his body as he'd fall on the floor before Velocity took her blade about to stab him, all the stress running through the boy would spark something powerful when suddenly Sonny would burst into flames shooting them everywhere around him now allowing him to break out of the whip with his eyes glowing bright blue before he would take his own blade and stab Velocity straight through the heart and soul, killing her instantly.

Veronicas heart would sink as her eyes widened “VELOCITY!!!” She'd scream out from the depths of her soul as she would stumble to her knees but that wasn't enough as Sonny would pull the sword out and bash Veronica to the ground with the end of the handle and stand over her looking down at her with a terrifying purple aura. With her sister dead, Veronica would lose all hope, her spirit was shattered this would show the dark reality of this world. “I. . .I'm sorry. . . I was only doing orders. . . I'll quit. . . please. . . I lost the only thing keeping me. . .” She pleaded as she was bowing before him on the brink of tears which were already spilling, this was the dark side of villains, not all of them are bad, some are only manipulated into crime with no good way out and perhaps this sparked Sonny to show mercy or maybe it was the fact he didn't truly wanna kill those who gave up, either way, he only looked down to her and asked, “Where do I find Amare.” His voice was terrifying as he loomed over her with his aura of pure rage, now sniffling she sat up some,  “I. . .in the Underworld. . . One of the main cities in the east. . . . sniff ” She would shakily move her hands in different ways opening a portal there as Sonny would just sheath Demons Fate and walk in followed by Hazel who was completely shocked by everything.
Veronica would run over to and collapse before sobbing over Velocity. “I'm sorry sister. . . I tried to escape. . . I tried to keep you safe from him. . .sniff  I. . .I'm so s. . .sorry!!!” She'd yell and sob over her now deceased sister.
