Chapter 16: Embrace the Madness.

During the next few days Sonny would continue mediating and exercising his mind and body preparing for any more fights that could arise, he just took down someone strong, he did feel confident that the battle was done but he had to stay ready.
Elra after watching from a distance with something on her mine would walk over now ready to confront her worries. "Sonny, you've been training non stop, take a break for a second." She would suggest softly but Sonny just kept training, of course this time he was swinging Demons Fate, doing an exercise Rai showed him.
"Yeah I get it, the fights over but I still wanna be ready for when my demon comes out again." He would say as he swung up and down faster.
Elra shook her head and looked down, her fists clenched some, "You're wrong. . ." She would say a bit hesitantly, Sonny would stop training as he looked at her now confused understandably, "Hm?"
Elra shook her head more, "You've only just started, defeating my dad only caused more fights." She said as she looked at Sonny who looked back at her, "What do you mean?" He was clearly confused for a good reason. "Glitch had a large bounty on his neck, and by killing him you received it on your own." Hearing this, the boys eyes widened as he panicked some, "What!? What's gonna happen now!?" Elra seeing this felt a small relief that he was fearing this situation as much as she was, "Calm down, what's gonna happen is there are gonna be powerful beings coming for your head to collect that bounty, there's more than likely wanted posters of you going around in the after lives." Telling someone to calm down before telling them that news sounds like a complete contradiction, but Sonny was mainly confused at apart of what she said, "Afterlives?" He would ask as Elra just nodded and began to explain, "Heaven, Purgatory, Underworld, Hell. These are the four major after lives. They branch out into different versions, but that's a whole different story."
Sonny hearing this had his eyes widened from amazement, the world was so much bigger than he knew, "Woah. ." Hearing this, Elra nodded at his reaction, "Yeah, it may sound 'woah' but it's extremely deep, and my father had many ties with demons down there, many captures, and many heads on his wall, he was a highly dangerous man down there, and now you have his bounty. You now need to be careful but also not over work yourself as you need the energy, they could be on their way at this very moment, this could very well be the start of a war with the Afterlives and your the main target." She would warn but Sonny now without the panic he started with and now a newly carved confidence just smiled, which well, destroyed Elra's relief at Sonny actually being worried or cautious, "Eh, I can take em." He would say with said confidence which frustrated Elra as she shook her head, "I don't think you're understanding how grave this situation is, there's a reason Glitch didn't go head first at these people, he knew they were after him but played his cards carefully, they're extremely powerful and highly dangerous people, and they're after your head." She would really exaggerate her warning to try and make Sonny be more cautious, but was it really exaggerating? Glitch a lone was strong but he clearly wasn't the strongest, and now Sonny was gonna be up against powerful players in this game of Survival of the Fittest. Sonny just shrugged, "Okay and?" He took down Glitch and he now sees his true strength, but even if he was in danger he wasn't one to back down and never was, although it was actually his demon that took down the man, it's still apart of Sonny.
Now frustrated with the non caring attitude Sonny was giving, Elra sighed and shook her head as she pinch the bridge of her nose, "Ugh! If only you were as smart as you were strong!" she'd yell before going inside and laying against Skyler as if she were a big fluffy pillow as Skyler now confused and even amused at the randomness of it looked down at the woman, "Uh, eh hm." She'd have an eyebrow raised at Elra as she called her attention.
Elra groaned as she didn't move, "He's gonna get himself killed again. . . and over my own damn family problems!!" She whined out in annoyance and anger, Skyler on response to this shook her head as she had the same attitude Sonny had, "He'll be fine." She simply said as Elra, more trusting on Skylers word mainly due to her age and experience and plus the fact she practically raised Sonny the past few years would just look up to her, curious, "How do you know. . ?" She asked softly, her frustration lowering.
Skyler just looked back down to her, "Cause as long as he has me and Demons Fate, he'll be okay." She would answer in the same tone as Elra now just convinced at it sighed softly, "Okay. . . I'll take your word for it. ." She closed her eyes, leaning against the she-wolf.
Skyler nodded before looking forward, "Oh and Elra." She called her name as the woman's eyes opened, her attention caught as she looked up to the wolf, "Hm. . ?" She was hesitant but curious as to what she had to say only to have Skyler answer with, "Language." A bit confusing at first until she realized she was referring to when Elra said "Damn" Elra hearing this, would simply sigh and smiled as she apologized, "Sorry. . ."
