Chapter 18: Elras Departure.

Early in the morning while the birds were chirping and the sun shining across the horizon and on the sides of the trees, Elra would be stretching and yawning as Sonny went over to her asking, "So you're serious about this?" He sounds a bit disappointed and Elra would simply nod and answer,
“Yep.” Sonny would sigh to this response. "Just be careful alright?" Skyler would say as she dropped a bag she was holding from her teeth which was full of food.
“I will, don't you worry about me, I should say the same to you though Sonny. Don't go getting killed by my dad's mistakes.” She'd say as she took the bag, putting it next to her journey bag. “I won't, you have my word.” Sonny would say with a smile.
“Good.” She'd say before turning towards the opposite direction of the den. “Welp, I'm off, bye you two, it was the best hanging with ya!” She'd say waving back, "You too!" Sonny and Skyler would answer.
Elra was about to run off but would stop, “Oh, and another thing! THANK YOU!!!!” She'd scream with a few tears in her eyes as she dashed forward eventually disappearing from the field.
"Well, she was fun company." He'd say with a smile. “Hopefully she'll be back.” Skyler would say.

Meanwhile, Elra would be sprinting through the fields just humming as she ran across a crying child.
Elra would stop looking at this distressed kid, "Oh hey, what's wrong?"
The boy through his tears would be stuttering, "M. .my cat. . . H. . .he's stuck i. . . .in a tree. . . ."

Elra would look up and see it, and see it was indeed a cat stuck in a tree, "How cliche. =_=" She'd say before she began to climb up and tried picking it up but it would hiss and scratch her across the face leaving thin scratch marks.
"Okay. Okay, you wanna be a little pussy bitch, gotcha." She'd say annoyed before she grabbed it by it's chest using her fingers to hold down it's arms and lift it up only for it to make a loud deep growl as it's eyes glowed bright orange before roaring at her and growing into a large monster like cat with the flesh on it's mouth was gone so only it's spiky teeth were showing as it raised one of it's large man like arms with large sharp claws and slashed her across the shoulder knocking her to the ground.

The kid began to panic at this sight, "What!? What happened to mittens!?" They'd cry out in fear and Elra would step in front, "He got possessed, get behind me kid, I'ma exorcise the demon from it." She'd say as her right hand started glowing orange and she threw it in front but the cat monster would just roar loudly and hop off the tree running to a local village causing chaos.
Elra growled and sighed, "Damn it! You stay here I'm going to fight that thing."
The kid clearly more worried about his pet would look up at her with puppy dog eyes, "Please don't hurt him. . . ." Elra considering ways of how NOT to hurt this literal demon cat that looks like it could rip a mans head off with pure ease, "Ehhhh. . . Sure." She'd turn and run before jumping up and flying following the cat in the air and after some flying she'd eventually make it to the village and land onto the ground between a row of buildings with medium amounts of destruction, the only real chaos being how scared people were as they watched the cat monster eating all the food from the markets as it kept a defensive pose as it did to keep people away.

Elra would run up, "Oh, you just wanted food, well too bad." She'd run up and punch it in the face knocking it back a bit as she stood there watching it's next move, this was partly out of revenge for it hitting her, though it would've probably been better just to exorcise it first.
To this it would only roar getting back into its stance and looking down at her as it dashed forward and smacked her into a wall so hard that it nearly fell over.
Elra shook her head in pain before coughing some, "That's. . . Gonna hurt later. . ." She'd say while slowing getting back on her feet before rushing back over and punching it in the face to the point a shockwave landed from it and the monster would fall back rubbing it's head and she'd begin to move her hands in a circular motion causing a circle of different shapes and colors as she would thrust it forward at the monster absorbing a large demonic entity now doing an exorcism on the demon removing it as the monster would transform back into the cat only to have it get up, shake it off and run back to the kid who was standing behind Elra.
The kid would be holding the cat tearing up before smiling, "Thank you. . ." To this Elra would jump and look behind her at the kid who seemingly appeared out of nowhere, "What!?" She'd say now startled. "Did I not tell you to stay put?! What if you got hurt!?" She'd scold as the kid looked up at her with an innocent look in their eyes, "I just wanted to watch. . . What you did was really cool. . . So again. . . Thank you!" They said thankfully and Elra seeking this toned her voice down, "Uh yeah. . . No problem." She'd say while patting the kids head before walking off to prevent anymore communication with the villagers as she'd look back only to see the kid smiling at her before the villagers surrounded him making sure he was okay, even scolding him for having the cat figuring something was wrong with it.

                      A few hours later

Rai was sitting on his legs as he was drawing with paint and enjoying a cup of herbal tea before Elra busted through a door panting from how much running she did, "I'm homeeeee!" Rai fortunately not ruining the painting as most would with that entrance kept painting, "Welcome back child, mind telling me what happened on your journey?" He would greet while still painting and Elra in response would simply toss her bags to the side and collapsed on a mat on the floor in relief of being home, “Oh! You won't believe what had happened!”
