Chapter 43: Aftermath and Earning Zens Respect.

Sonny: "What!? That's my exact goal!!"

Zen: "Oh really? I assume because you wanna avenge your people."

Sonny: "That's part of it, I mainly want to do it to avenge my parents who he killed."

To this Zens eyes widened a bit, "Well. I guess we share the same grudge against the same person."

Sonny: "He killed your parents too?!"

Zen: "Yeah.... He did."

*821 Years Ago*

Fire would swarm the room as Zen was crying and Kar towered over a dead woman while holding a man by the throat in the air.

Kar: “Your son would be perfect for my plan, but I can't have you stopping me, your powers are useful but he has both of them. Goodbye Gerai.”
With a loud crack and thud Kar would turn towards Zen and walk over to him passing by the dead father as he threw his hand at Zen before being blocked by men with an Assassinhood emblem on their back and Zen would be dragged into a portal, watching as the man who protected him would be torn to shreds as Kar tore him apart before the portal closed.

*Present*

Zen: "I'll never forgive him, but as for the Assassinhood, I owe my life to them, it's direct rivals with the Templars and they have the power to kill even a god, but I don't care, I could never betray the ones who saved me."

Sonny: "That's very honorable Zen. But since we have the same goal why don't we kill him together?"

Zen: "I doubt that would be very helpful for me, I'm sorry, you're clearly competent, but are you even close to his level?"

Sonny: "No, and I did encounter and fight him, with my brothers Jupiter and Zypher, both very powerful, yet we still were almost instantly taken out, the only reason we survived was because he wanted a better fight next time."

Zen: "You mean you fought him!? Kar!?"

Sonny: "That's correct!"

Zen: "You *quacking* legend."

Hazel: "Language."

Zen: "Sorry. And not only that but....with Zypher??"

Sonny: "Yep! He's my brother. You know him?"

Zen: "Know him? Yeah I know him! We're battle buddies! Best friends in a fight, he's a true legend! And you're brothers with him!?"

Sonny: "Mhm!"

Zen: "That means.... You're Mercurys child. That makes sense."

Sonny: "How so?"

Zen: "You wield Demons Fate, his powerful blade. I've met my new group."

Sonny: "So does that mean you'll join us!?"

Zen: "Yes. Yes it does."

Sonny: "Hell yeah!!! We can train later too!"

Zen: "Also, even when you fought with Zypher, you both still lost to Kar?"

Sonny: "Mhm."

Zen: "He's beyond our league and not by a little bit. We need to train hard if we want to fight him."

Sonny: "Yeah but first, A few things."

Zen: "Hm?"

Sonny: "We first need to find my caretaker and childhood guard Skyler, and then we need to find Sky Island so I can learn more about my mom and past."

Zen: "Is that all?"

Sonny: "Nope."

Zen: "What else?"

Sonny: "We're completely surrounded."

Zen looked around to high ranked templar guardians surrounding them with god soul infused weapons, they had heavenly armor on and looked fierce.

Zen: "And so we are. Let's do this."

The others smirked as they got ready for a battle.
