Chapter 37: Jupiter's New Follower and Zypher's Boring Day.

Jupiter would be walking through the fields near the destroyed den that Sonny used to live in as he'd hear crying behind him before quickly turning around.

Jupiter: "Who goes there?" To his surprise it'd be Veronica crying over the grave of Velocity as she'd be on her knees.
Jupiter would stare unsure what to say.

Veronica: "I'm sorry you suffered this.... I'm so sorry..... I understand why he did it to you but I hate him...."

Jupiter would walk up behind her towering over her. 

Veronica: "If you came to collect my bounty go for it.... I don't care anymore... I'm nothing without Velocity or Amare..."

Jupiter: "I care not for your bounty."

Veronica: "Then what do you want...?"

Jupiter: "What had happened here?"

Veronica: "We destroyed this place, or well, me and my sister did... But Sonny got pissed and killed my sister and then soon Amare.... And now I'm by myself..... Again..."

Jupiter: "So Sonny caused your pain."

Veronica: "You know him..?"

Jupiter: "He's my younger brother."

Veronica: "Then you must be here to finish the job..."

Jupiter: "I have no business with his old prey, if he left you alive it was probably for a reason, he isn't the type to kill for fun, but instead he merely fights for it, I am nothing alike him."

Veronica: "Oh.... interesting..."

Jupiter: "That's all I wished to know. Good day." He'd continue walking.

Veronica: "H-hey wait! Let me come with!!"

Jupiter still walking, "Why do you wish to follow me?"

Veronica: "I have nowhere else to go and I'm alone.... I figured I could be the follower of the rival of the person who caused my pain... As you put it."

Jupiter: "Fine but if you slow me down or hold me back I will leave you behind."

Veronica: "I won't let you down you have my word - who are you again...?"

Jupiter: "Jupiter, middle child of Mercury."

Veronica: "Wait.... The Mercury?! The feared half demon of the Afterlives?!"

Jupiter would smirk as he walked.

Veronica: "Woah!!! That's awesome!! I'm Veronica! A demon girl that can practically teleport to where I want."

Jupiter said nothing as he had nothing to say.

Veronica: "I'm going to enjoy adventures with you!!!"

Jupiter: "Stop yelling."

Veronica: "Sorryyyy" She'd say in a whisper.

Jupiter would keep walking through the forest and Veronica would follow him through the forest.

Meanwhile

Zypher would be hopping through the trees bored as he looked around for something to kill but found nothing.

He'd sit on the tree branch still bored before hearing a child crying as he looked over to actually see one crying.

Zypher: "Hey brat would you shut up!? There's a lot worse things to worry about than whatever the hell you're balling your eyes out over!!!"

To this the kid only cried louder as Zypher would growl and jump down to the kid now even more annoyed.

Zypher: "What's wrong?!" He'd look over and see the village looking damaged as all the villagers were on the knees with swords to their necks and a man in the middle laughing.

Zypher: "Hey kid."

Child: "h...hm?"

Zypher: "These bandits holding your family hostage?"

Child: "Yeah... I don't know if they're gonna live...."

Zypher: "Close your eyes and don't look till I say to, alright?"

Child: "Okay..." The kid would close his eyes and turn around.

Zypher would grow a devious smile as he walked into the village as he pulled his sword out.

The bandit leader was laughing before he noticed Zypher and yelled "Oi! Halt! Do you know what you're interrupting?!"

Zypher: "A robbery and genocide."

Bandit Leader: "No smartass! This is the day I become king of this region! Now bow down!"

Zypher: "Nah. I don't feel like it."

Bandit Leader now insulted by Zypher arrogance: "Men! Kill him!!"

To this Zypher smiled as the bandits ran at him only to be sliced and diced in a bloody massacre as the blade glowed red and the hollow area in the center of the blade was filled with blood.

Bandit Leader: "What!? My men! No!! You monster I'll kill you!!" The bandit Leader would run at him before Zypher slashed the blade down sending a large blood red crescent shaped blade at the man turning him to a mere pile of blood and burnt bones.

Zypher: "Alright humans, you can get up your safe."

The villagers would kneel down and thank him one by one but were also a bit traumatized at the mess as Zypher walked out sheathing his sword.

Zypher: "Alright kid open your eyes and go home."

The kid would hug Zypher much to the demons disgust and run home.

Zypher: "Annoying brat. At least I got some action today although it was still boring as hell."
He'd say as he walked into the forest and vanished.
