Chapter 69: Light Shines Brightest in the Dark.

Sonny and Elra would be rushing in with their attacks readied, "You're finished Azrael!!!" They'd yell as they dashed in both appearing to strike the Archangel, and before they could even blink, the chains would be completely shattered, and Azrael would be holding Sonnys wrists with one hand, and Elras chin with the other and he would kick the Hybrid in the side knocking him down and slammed the head of Elra into him while he was on the ground without even having broke a sweat.

Blade wanted to help but he had no soul abilities and was therefore useless in this situation, and on top of that, he was almost completely exhausted from the fight from before.

Zen would groan in anger as he punched the ground and stood up slowly. Hazel was puzzled, "Those chains were the same ones Skyler could use, how come he just shattered them.... Am I too weak compared to this guy!?" She would ponder, "This bastard came right when we were all exhausted after fighting Cardinal, he knew what he was doing with this." Zen would growl in pure annoyance.

Azrael would sigh as he stood over the two he just took down  "You people are really weak, I'd expected better honestly with the bounties and crimes you committed, but oh well." He would mock them almost.

Sonny would move Elra off and send a lightning fast punch at Az only for it to be caught and Sonny to be pulled into a knee straight to his stomach and tossed to the side. "ugh!!!" He cried as he tried standing back up but was kicked into Zen who caught him an set him on his feet.

Zen would crack his own neck and then popped his knuckles, "This guy pisses me off." He would mutter.

Azrael looked to Zen, his eyes glowing some, "You aren't good yourself now..." He would say back.

Zen growled at this "Shut up!" He'd yell out as he flash stepped behind Azrael and sent an anti gravity infused punch only for Az to catch it and blow the forced energy back at him. causing a huge explosion.

Azrael would open his other hand and make a very deep dark fill in every shadow in the area.

Azrael would let go of the punch as he looked to Sonny "Light Shines Brightest in the Dark." He'd say as he walked into a shadow and vanished before moving at the speed of light if not faster around Sonny and the others.

Sonny tried looking at Azrael to track his movements but failed, "I can't keep up..." He'd mutter.

Blade and Zen would be doing the same only to fail with the small response of "Same."

All of a sudden dozens of cuts were appearing on the their skin and soon they would be getting thrown around a bit by random punches and slashes before Azrael flew in throwing punches and ramming a knee into Sonnys stomach throwing him far back and having him crash into the ground.

Azrael held his hand out as a huge glowing beam of Heavens light formed in it, "Any last words before you move on to the final judgement?" He would simply say, the light itself was almost blinding and right before Azrael sent his light beam on them, Konos would dash in out of the woods in his werewolf form grabbing Azraels shoulders with his large hands, and his neck with his teeth and slam him into the ground with a crash.

Sonny and the others blinked in surprise "Konos!?" Sonny would yell out excitedly as he felt his hopes go up and he would get up going to help the others get up as well.

Konos would let go of his neck and look at the group, “We're a pack by the blood of our ancestors, as long as I'm nearby and have the ability to help you when you're in need, you better believe I'll be there, the pack always sticks together.” He would say proudly as Azrael laid there a bit fazed by this but not caring too much.

Reros would fly down in his winged wolf form and the other members of the Silver Wolf Tribe arrived as well and were prepared to fight as they stood next to the main group.

Azrael just sighed, "You shouldn't be too ignorant you know." He said as he shot a beam through Konos' stomach and vanished teleporting behind him from his shadow on the ground and kicked him far into a tree.
Sonny would dash in the air and use Soul Blade but Azrael would flash step behind Sonny and kick him into the ground once again.

Cardinal from a distance would just smile widely as he watched and would soon get up and walk off, "I suppose I'll bide my time some more, if he isn't already dead that is hehehe....." He was now nowhere to be found.

Azrael flash stepped behind Reros to send a punch but Heri would tackle him and throwing him into Veri who punched him into Jeron but before they could finish tossing him around, he stomped on the ground propelling himself up and was about to send an attack to Heri who caused the cycle of throwing him around but Konos rushed in and jumped high up and sent a powerful blow to his stomach throwing him to the ground.

Azrael would slowly get up, it was clear this was taking somewhat of a toll on him but then again he wasn't even going all out, perhaps he should've as it was gonna be clear that that would've been the wiser idea, "You are quite the team huh." He would a bit annoyed.

Konos would hop back and forth ready to fight, he didn't care about the hole in his stomach as he didn't plan to let the wound stop him, "And you're A dead angel!!" He mocked before rushing in about to slash Azrael but the Archangel would dodge to the left turning and punching Konos in the stomach wound before sending a huge beam of Heavens light through it burning his insides and starting a fire on his soul as he flew back and crashed into a tree causing it to shake.

The two groups stood shocked as they yelled out in sync, "Konos!!!" Reros rushed in knocking Azrael down but he would easily get up and kick Reros into a tree at the speed of sound before grabbing Heri and slamming them into the others, Sonny rushed in but Az would dash over to blade dodging Sonny and kicking the swordsman into Hazel who was also running over.

Azrael would think to himself “Hm... I can't seem to get Sonny easily, it'd be way too risky, especially if I trigger his demon although it is very possible, but I know something even better, something they'd all have to chase and tire out from.” He'd nod to his own thoughts before throwing a sphere of light that exploded like a flash bang as he dashed in and grabbed Elra by the throat and knocking her out cold before snapping her wings and disabling them and dashing in the air with her.

Sonny rubbing his eyes and looking up, "Elra!!!" He'd jump up about to slash him but it was just a reflection as Azrael had already vanished with Elra.

Sonny landed on the ground on his knees from his overcoming pain and now sorrow, "No...no no no no NOOOO!!!!!" He'd scream, he was hitting the ground. "We...we have to get her back!!!" He cried out as he held Demons Fate tightly.

Blade knowing it would impossible to get her in their current state would just look at Sonny, "I think we have someone else to deal with first..." He said as he looked over to Konos now bleeding out against a tree, they couldn't abandon him, after all, the pack sticks together, and he came to their aid.
