After a week of searching the group would find nothing but sand and the typical small village for travels of the sand fill country, they'd rest at night and begin their search again during the early morning, the heat was slowly beginning to take it's toll on them as they pursued onward.

Hazel: "I hate this place.... But Skylers presence has hit my senses....." She would say weakly, the heat taking over. . . "Same, and yeah..... She's definitely here...." Sonny would say.

Zen: "Wait..." Zen stopped the group as he held his arm out.
Sonny and Hazel: "Huh....?"

Zen would make a gravity shield go around them but it did nothing for the heat.

Sonny: "That seemed kinda pointless." The boy complained some.
Zen nodded, "Until now." He pointed as a huge sandstorm hit them, but they weren't effected due to the shield.
Sonny: "I stand corrected." He said casually.

Zen sighed and continued forward."Let's just keep going...." He proceeded to march onward along with the others the shield following them still protecting them.

As they continued on, Hazel would collapse from the heat resulting in Sonny carrying her.

Sonny: "We'll die before we can even make it to Heaven at this point. . ."

Zen looked over, "Isn't that how it usually is?" He asked.

Sonny: "Heh, true, but not for us." He said with a smile and kept walking.

Zen: "Let's hope that stays true."

They kept walking before making it to a somewhat small village with a sign nailed to the entrance that said:

“Welcome to Arosio, the village of the wasteland.”

Sonny smiled and looked at it, "Well, we can refresh, reenergize, rest up..."

Zen: "Agreed." He said back before walking forward past the sign as they'd go into the village and find an inn, pay for their food, drink, and rest. They'd cool Hazel off and woke her up and let her know where they were.

Hazel: "Damn this fur... This desert isn't the best place for me, I don't even know how Skyler can handle this...."

Sonny laughed, "It's Skyler."

Hazel nodded in agreement, "True."

Sonny: "Anyway, let's get some sleep and continue off in the morning."

Hazel and Zen: "Right."

They'd begin their rest and wake up early the next morning, get some more food and water and walk out of the inn with some more desert clothes wrapped around their heads and shoulders, Hazel would be holding a J-handle umbrella in her mouth using it for shade from the heat as they would walk to the exit which was on the opposite side of the entrance point of the village.

They found some signs next to it's exit that said:

“Beware any travels from this sign onward, travel distance to the next closest village beyond this point is 1,387 miles.”

A handmade sigh under it would say “Best to give up and turn back now, abandon all hoping of crossing.”

Sonny: "Well? This is it I guess, we're about to face the true dangers of the desert."

Zen: "Lets go then."

Hazel with a muffled voice: "Right."

They'd march onward past the exit and into the vast deserts as they searched for Skyler.
