Chapter 47: Veros Idea to defeating Sonny.

The winds of the Underworld were blowing strong as the sands of the land scattered around would create red and black sand storms through the countries of the Underworld, at the main capital at a bar Vero would slam his fist on the table in annoyance as Ceno busted out laughing.

Ceno: "You with your overpowered ability lost to that blue haired runt?! That's hilarious!"

Vero: "You shut your mouth. I had him, I filled his lungs and he died. It was his damn demon that brought him back!"

Ceno: "I forget, you don't have soul powers or weapons to harm souls do you?"

Vero: "I don't. Those weapons are extremely rare."

Ceno: "Not entirely, there's been a new group around named the God Slayers that have been creating Immortal killing and soul shattering weapons."

Vero: "Those abilities are forbidden though."

Ceno: "They don't care, they're practically the black market, they managed to gain their hands on the soul harming abilities and infused it into weapons. They've managed to kill a few gods here and there."

Vero: "For what?"

Ceno: "Don't you know? The new Era is a few hundred thousand years away, the Extinction Era, where the gods kill and destroy everyone and reset existence. The humans and mortals wanna live before and after that era, so they're planning on fighting back, in other words, a recreation of the War Era."

Vero: "Hmm. The Omega gods are serving themselves, they care not what happens to us."

Ceno: "Our Omega god is one of the corrupted, of course he doesn't. Zenrahbak only cares for deals and souls and our torment for his own entertainment."

Vero: "Whatever the case is, it's not of my concern, it's years away, I'm only concerned with the weapons, and also how can you even kill immortals?"

Ceno: "By destroying their souls, shattering them, without a soul, they're body is a husk, it's the only weakness of an immortal."

Vero: "Makes sense."

Ceno: "Yes, but, when a soul is shattered, it's still out there, fragments of it, and with certain rare but forbidden powers, you can retrieve those soul fragments resurrecting the dead."

Vero: "Interesting... Can you even hurt immortals with them, not just kill them?"

Ceno: "Yes. And not only that, but they heal their wounds and their soul wounds slower in general but heal faster afterwards which could be right after the fight when the souls not being used, or when they run away which it heals slower, but faster than it would when still in the fight."

Vero: "Ah... So they won't instantly regenerate when struck by a soul killing weapon huh? And what if I kill them in their normal form with it?"

Ceno: "Well, even though it stabs their soul, they'll be killed, which results in their demonic transformation, which than it's more vulnerable to the weapon, cause even a cut on the arm will hurt it like it would a human, it cuts the right side of their soul if you were to cut their demons right arm."

Vero: "Interesting, and if I cut their normal forms arm?"

Ceno: "It won't damage their soul, only if they're in a demonic form."

Vero: "And do you happen to know where I can get this type of blade?"

Ceno: "Hmmm, we could make a deal if you're that desperate?" He'd say with a mischievous smile.

Vero: "Yeah keep the deals to yourself. I'll find one a different way."

Ceno: "Suit yourself."

Vero sighed and changed the subject. "Not only are the problems with Sonny, but with the Templars as well, they failed their job! Not only that, but they lessened the payments to the Bounty Hunters due to problems with a kingdom that Sonny attacked! Now heaven's beginning to get involved and probably are planning to execute anyone of them."

Ceno: "Well, it is Heaven, what do you expect?"

Vero: "I expect them to mind their own damn business!"

Ceno: "Just find a soul harming weapon and go out and kill Sonny. His bounty is now two hundred fifty three million. He has Zen the Legend on his team and they destroyed a Templar kingdom, it's gonna be pretty damn high in reputation."

Vero: "I need to find this weapon soon. He's becoming a major threat."

Ceno: "While you do that, I'ma take a walk to the next city. Care to join me?"

Vero: "Nah, I have to deal with this."

Ceno: "Very well." He smiled and vanished into static onto the outside of the bar and would soon leave the city onto the next.
