Chapter 4: Meeting The Boys

Wally and Megan just decided to follow MJ to the class she was heading to. Dick couldn't come along as the students and teacher would get suspicious of why a 13 year old was in the class. He decided to just see what he could find out alone. They entered the class to see MJ sitting alone and Peter and Harry sitting right next to each other. Each desk had space for 2 people to sit. The 2 didn't know where to sit. Megan decided to sit next to MJ while Wally sat alone at the desk next to the one Harry and Peter were sitting at. "Hey again." Megan greeted.

"Hey, newbie." MJ replied. Yep. They are gonna be GREAT friends. She then turned around to face Harry and Peter, who already had their books out, "Guys." Harry looked up from the books, "Meet Megan Morse. She's new here." she introduced. Megan gave a small wave as Harry nodded his head at her, greeting her, "Hey. I'm Harry Osborn." he then nudged at Peter to get him to look up from his book, "And this bookworm right here is Peter Parker." he joked. 

Peter still didn't look up from his book. Harry sighed before nudging the book off the desk. Peter immediately looked up confusingly at Harry, but he simply looked away innocently. Peter sighed with a smile on his face, knowing it was all for fun. He extended his hand out to Megan, "Nice to meet you." he greeted. Megan looked down at his hand before hesitantly shaking it with hers and giving him a smile. So this was Peter. He looked... sad.

Peter pulled his hand back and bent over to get his book that was on the floor, but not before giving a glare to Harry. He rolled his eyes at him. Megan was about to say something about Wally, but the teacher suddenly entered the classroom, "Good morning, students!" she greeted. Megan quickly spun around. "It's nice to see you all again! With the new week coming up, and the school term beginning, there is a lot to do nowadays. Fortunately, for you guys, I will go easy on you, BUT... it will not let us stop working." she said.

The entire class was filled with groans while Megan was the only one that seemed happy. Peter wasn't really paying attention. The teacher then chuckled, "I'm kidding!" the entire class erupted with cheers, "BUT, I do still want to do a quiz to see which of you now paid attention!" she continued. Some of the class groaned, while others stayed silent.

She then said her first question as she pointed to a diagram on the whiteboard, "So, how do we calculate linear acceleration between points A and B?" she asked them. The class was filled with murmurs and she realized she needed to give them some motivation. She sighed, "Okay. Whoever can get 5 questions right, they can do whatever they want in class." she said. Immediately, multiple hands pointed up, making her scoff. She noticed one boy with orange her sticking his hand up. He seemed new? She pointed to him and a wide smirk grew across his face, "Well, you see, it's the product of sine of the angle and gravity divided by the mass." he said with smug. Megan looked back at him to see him wink at her, making her giggle and roll her eyes.

The teacher shook her head, "Nope." she replied, making Wally's eyes widen. "...What?" he asked. Some of the class quickly erupted into chuckles as Wally quickly wiped the smirk off his face. The teacher then noticed there was another new student. A girl. But as she noticed the girl, she saw Peter sitting behind her, not paying attention and reading a book the whole time. She let out a sigh, "How about you, Peter?" she chose. Peter looked up from the book, "Peter. You still with us?" she asked.

Peter wiped his eyes and nodded as he looked at the board, "Uh... Yeah, yeah... Mass cancels out, so it's just gravity times sine." he answered, before immediately hitting the books. The teacher sighed. This has been going on since she died. She walked over to Peter, (Okay, so. I COMPLETELY failed at trying to make a caring teacher so I edited this part. Hope it's better. "Hey Peter... Are you okay? If you ever wanna talk about-" she said. Megan and Wally watched it all unfold in front of her.
