The door slammed open.

Conner stood in the doorway, looking completely drained. In his right arm, he held the boy from the car, cradling him against his stomach. A blonde girl clung to his shoulders, and a black-haired boy was wedged between his left arm and hip. His voice sounded tired but determined as he said, "Got three more."

Meanwhile, across town, Billy scanned the road before sprinting across at an angle, a dog's barking in the background as he headed towards the arcade. He slid along the door with exaggerated stealth. "Okay, Batson, coast is clear, and..." he reached the building's corner, peeking around, "Go!"

He quickly lifted a broken fence panel and slipped into an alley, at the end of which stood a dusty, 'Out of Order' Photo Booth. Billy parted the curtains and sat on the chair.

"Shazam, 1-5," he said, closing his eyes and smiling in anticipation. When nothing happened, he frowned in confusion, opening his eyes. "Shazam, 1-5!" he repeated, but still nothing. Frustrated, he crossed his arms and glared at the faulty tech. "Override: H-O-J slash Watchtower, Priority Red! Shazam, 1-5!"

Finally, a scanning light swept over him.

Not recognized. Access denied.

Billy threw his head back and let out an annoyed scream.

Storming off, he passed a TV store. All the screens showed static until suddenly, Spider-Man appeared with Robin and Kaldur on his left and Kid Flash on his right.

"Attention, children and teenagers of Earth, you all probably already know me as Spider-Man. These are my friends, Aqualad, Robin and Kid Flash. I know I look a bit different with the suit and all, but it's me." Spider-Man's serious face filled the screen.

Billy rushed back to the display.

"We are using the Justice League's tech to cast and stream to every TV, radio, computer, and smartphone on the planet," Robin explained.

"We know you must be scared and angry. We know that with your parents missing, there's a temptation to run wild. But please... stay calm," Kid Flash added, his voice steady but empathetic.

At Happy Harbor High, all the students were glued to the screen, watching intently.

"We will find a way to bring the adults back," Aqualad assured them. "But for now, the oldest among you must step up."

Gotham City, November 5th, 22:07 EDT

At Gotham Academia, Barbara Gordon was reading a book to a group of kids, while Bette Kane watched over two younger ones and entertained a toddler. The gymnasium was filled with quiet murmurs, and a radio broadcast of Aqualad's message played in the background.

Dakota City, November 5th, 21:08 CDT

A school bus teetered on the edge of a bridge, about to plunge off when a pale blue sphere formed under its front end. A teen girl, her belt glowing with the same energy, hovered behind the bus, guiding it safely back onto solid ground.

"Take care of kids who have no one," Robin's voice echoed from the radio as she saved the day.

"Protect them," Kid Flash instructed with urgency.

New Orleans. Luisiana, 22:10 EDT

In a dark alley, shadows twisted as Cloak emerged from the darkness, his cape billowing out like a void. Beside him, Dagger's light illuminated the narrow street. A group of teens huddled near the burning wreckage of a car, trapped by debris.
