Peter could barely explain what happened. All he could think of was back when he was holding onto Reed's elongated arm. Then the door slammed shut and he let go, causing him and 2 others to be dropped through the portal.
Where he was now?
He had no idea.
He was falling through what looked like a blue gateway of clouds. He could see his friends falling with him, screaming just like him as they did so.
But he also began to see things in the gateway's 'walls'.
He saw what looked like Tony Stark hitting something with a sledgehammer in a dark cave.
He saw Captain America throwing his shield.
Batman in a mechanized suit dragging a beaten Superman across the ground.
A version of him that looked emo.
Supergirl holding up a plane.
Green Arrow firing arrows at Flash in an alleyway.
Didn't get much else before debris started appearing in their way. Ben punched right through one as Peter dodged another. A gateway began to split, causing some to be sent through oe gateway adn the rest through the other.
Peter was sucked through one with Johnny, Ben, Susan and Superboy while Reed, Artemis, M'gann, and Dick were sent through the other.
Before they knew it, Peter's group found themselves falling through what looked like... space?
"Asteroids!" Ben yelled.
The team hurtled through the chaotic expanse, their eyes widening as a dense barrier of asteroids loomed ahead. There was no stopping now. Peter Parker maneuvered as best as he could to avoid the incoming barrage. Despite his agile reflexes, the sheer number of asteroids was overwhelming.
Ben Grimm, the ever-brave Thing, and Superboy, with his immense strength, took a more direct approach. Ben's rock-like fists smashed through the asteroids with sheer brute force, while Superboy punched his way forward, clearing a path through the floating debris.
"FLAME ON!" Johnny Storm shouted, igniting his entire body in a burst of flames. He soared ahead, weaving between the asteroids and launching fiery projectiles at any that threatened their path. The fiery explosions illuminated the chaotic scene, but the asteroids continued to close in.
Peter struggled to keep up with the relentless assault. Just as a massive asteroid was about to collide with him head-on, a translucent shield enveloped him. He turned to see Susan Storm, the Invisible Woman, her arms extended and a look of fierce concentration on her face.
"Thanks," he breathed, relief washing over him.
She nodded in acknowledgment, maintaining the protective barrier around him. The group finally emerged from the asteroid field, but their respite was short-lived. They were still plummeting uncontrollably through the void.
Susan quickly formed another shield around Superboy and pulled him into her protective bubble. "I didn't need that," he grumbled.
"Sure," she replied dryly, not believing his bravado for a second.
"Uhh, guys? PLANET!" Peter suddenly shouted, his voice tinged with panic.
Everyone turned their gaze forward and saw a planet rapidly approaching. It was roughly twice the size of Earth's moon, and they were heading straight for it at an alarming speed.
"Hang on!" Susan yelled, her voice cutting through the chaos.
"To what??" Superboy retorted, scrambling helplessly within the smooth interior of the shield.
