Artemis turned to him with anger in her eyes. She pulled her arm out of his. Peter finally got a look around the room. Dick was standing in the corner. Superboy was standing beside him now. "Wow. It's filled in here."

Superboy shut the door behind him loudly, "Explain. Now." he ordered.

A smile grew on Peter's face, "First off. If even a screw got loose from the slam, you're paying." he said as he pointed at Superboy but didn't glance at him, "And secondly." He walked over to M'gann and snatched the symbiote out from her hands, "It's none of your business."

"None of our business??" Artemis questioned. "That thing gets out, it could destroy the world. It's kinda everyone's business."

"It started off mine. This is between me and Harry.  You guys honestly think I'm gonna let this thing out??" He asked as he turned around, glancing at them all. None of them answered. he then looked back at M'gann, "And did you seriously snoop around my room?"

"I can sense it, Peter. I could tell where it was." She then pointed at it, "It's thoughts. How it feels. It wants to escape. It wants y-"

"Look, M'gann. I respect and understand what you're saying. But again. This is MY business. Not any of yours. I will decide what happens to it."

"Peter. That's... dangerously arrogant. How do you know it's not a danger?"

"Because I don't know!"

And everyone was silent. Clearly from confusion. "What do you mean?" M'gann asked.

"When I'm going to the Baxter building soon, I was gonna bring it with and ask Reed to check it out. He's dealt with aliens and foreign stuff before and he's usually never wrong..."

"I thought we were done with secrets." Superboy said, still clearly not happy.

"Oh please." Peter said and looked back at Conner, "All of us have secrets whether we deny it or not. This secret was personal and again none of my business. And if you guys are so clearly interested in my secrets, we might as well get everyone's! Anyone willing to share?" He looked around at everyone, waiting for someone to speak up, "No? Thought so... This is my business and my responsibility. I can handle this." He held up the symbiote, "Just trust me, okay?"

Everyone shared glances at each other. It went on for a short bit before Peter realized what was happening, "You guys are talking to each other, aren't you?" He threw the canister on the bed, Taking that means you guys won't be coming."

All of them now looked at him. Artemis grabbed his hand from behind him, "Look, Pete... We do trust you. But this thing is dangerous. We're just worried. That's all. Of course we'll still go with you." Peter held onto her hand tightly and slightly smiled. But before he could thank them, Conner spoke up and stepped forward.

"To make sure that it's not a threat. Second it is-"

"I'll destroy it myself..."

The Baxter Building; New York City

They arrived a couple minutes later to the entrance of the large building. MJ and Aunt May had dropped them off. Artemis and MJ rode their own bikes. Peter rode with Artemis. Aunt May rode with Dick, M'gann and Conner. They all left their rides and Aunt may was left in her car. She waved goodbye to them, "Don't stay up too late! Tell Johnny no cooking! You know how he almost set the kitchen on fire once!" she told him.

Peter let out a little laugh, "I'll be sure to tell him that. Stay safe, May!" he waved. She drove off with a smile.

Artemis stepped up to Peter, "So was that his powers or-"

"No. He just sucks at cooking."

Peter, M'gann, MJ, Artemis, Superboy, and Dick approached the Baxter Building, an imposing structure that loomed over the surrounding cityscape. Its sleek, modern design reflected the cutting-edge scientific advancements that took place within its walls. Peter led the way while the rest of the group followed, their expressions a mix of curiosity and awe.

The automatic doors slid open with a soft hiss, revealing the pristine, futuristic interior. The lobby was an expanse of white and silver, accented by blue. Large holographic displays floated in the air, showcasing various scientific achievements and current projects undertaken by the Fantastic Four. The advanced technology and the sheer scale of the place left everyone but Peter in awe.

M'gann's eyes widened as she took in the surroundings. "This place is incredible," she whispered to Superboy, who nodded silently.

Dick let out a low whistle. "Never thought I'd see the inside of the Baxter Building."

Artemis and MJ exchanged impressed glances, clearly taken aback by the high-tech design and the palpable air of innovation that permeated the building.

Peter, already familiar with the layout, walked towards the elevators at the far end of the lobby. As they approached, the sleek, metallic doors slid open smoothly, revealing a spacious, glass-walled elevator car. The group stepped inside, and Peter pressed the button for the top floor. The elevator immediately called out, "AUTHORIZATION."

"Peter B. Parker. Access code ASM1-63" (this is a little easter egg btw)

"ACCESS GRANTED. PETER PARKER."

As the elevator began its ascent, the cityscape outside the glass walls unfolded in a breathtaking panorama. The view was mesmerizing, and even Peter, who had seen it before, couldn't help but steal a glance at the sprawling urban expanse below. The others, however, were captivated.

"This view is amazing," MJ said softly, her eyes glued to the glass.

Artemis nodded in agreement, her expression one of admiration mixed with anticipation. "Definitely beats taking the stairs."

The elevator ride was swift and smooth, carrying them higher and higher until they finally reached the top floor. The doors opened with a soft chime, revealing a corridor that led to the heart of the Baxter Building's research facilities.

Peter stepped out first, leading the way.

The group followed Peter through the corridor, their footsteps echoing softly against the polished floors. They saw the corridor leading to a large lobby in what was probably the main attraction of the Fantastic 4's base. Suddenly, they heard a loud gruff voice yell, "JOHNYYYY!!!" Which caused them all to jump.

They heard a hysterical laugh from another man. Just then, one of the doors in the corridor slid open. From out of it, a woman walked out.

She wore a pristine white lab coat and her blonde hair was neatly tied back in a ponytail, showcasing her focused and clear blue eyes. Beneath the lab coat, she wore a simple, smart outfit appropriate for a day of research—likely a comfortable yet fitted blouse paired with slacks.

She was dusting off her hands, "Johnny! What did you-" she froze when she saw the group. She then quickly realized peter was there, "Peter." she said with a smile. The 2 walked to each other and embraced in a hug, "It's been a while."

"Hey, Susan." They separated, "It really has..."
