Getting through School

Peter, MJ, Megan, and Harry were now sitting through their History class. MJ and Peter were pretty decent at it. Megan got the hang of it. Harry? He sucked.

The class was about 10 minutes from ending and Harry was begging for it to be over. The male teacher had one last announcement, "Now as you all may know, about 3 hours after school ends, the whole class will be heading to The Guggenheim Museum. We expect you all to be dressed in your best clothes for this occasion as a party is going to be thrown there, as well as bids. But most importantly, we expect you all to be in groups of 4. Find your group." he explained. The entire class was filled with mutters and chatter.

Peter, MJ, and Harry all turned to each other with a smile. They all nodded at each other, agreeing with who they were working with. "I hope we all realize we're also only working together because nobody else would probably take us?" Harry pointed out.

The group laughed at the harsh truth. Well, that wasn't the truth for MJ at least. She was quite the popular girl in the whole school. "Okay, okay! Now that you all probably have your groups..." the class went silent and turned back to the teacher as he continued, "Now your assignment as a group is to find a special artifact and tell it's history. Some of the artifacts are boing to be bid on so you can even observe that if you would like. Think of it like a competition as this does cost marks. No 2 groups can work on 1, so do your research while you guys are there and at home preparing. We have about 9 minutes left of the lesson, do what you will." he said before he walked out of the class.

The group then turned back to each other, "So any of you guys been?" Harry asked.

They all shook they heads, "Unlike you, Harry, we are poor." MJ replied, causing a chuckle out of Megan and Peter. Harry sighed as he shamefully smiled. Peter took his phone out his pocket and began to search artifacts they could cover at the museum.

"So do we have any idea what we could cover?" Megan asked. The group shrugged and Harry noticed peter searching on his phone, "Looks like Pete's already on it." Harry pointed out.

"Luckily, I do." Peter said. He turned his phone to face them, "It's a spear that originated from Africa. Around the 1900s, found by the settlers." he said as he handed the phone to Megan to look at it.

She looked confusingly at the picture of the weapon, not understanding the importance, "I don't understand how a spear would get us to do well?" she questioned as she handed the phone to Harry.

"Well, you see, when it was found, the spear was in the middle of nowhere. There were no nearby African tribes. It was also still new, as it must've been made about a week ago, according to it's finder." Peter explained.

Harry handed the phone to MJ, "So what you're basically saying is that there was no feasible way that a spear like that was there?" MJ asked.

"It's designs were also unlike anyone has ever seen. It's markings, carvings, no African Tribe that they had ever come across had used any markings like it. Even when they tried to talk to the tribes to get them to understand it, they said it was a scared weapon and should belong back with it's owners. It's one of the greatest mysterious weapons of all time." he explained as the phone was handed to him from MJ.

"Where do you think it came from?" Megan asked the group.

Peter shrugged, "Could be anything at this point. There's aliens now, ancient organisations, superhumans, ancient cities. I'm more interested to find out what it's not now." he told her.

"I think it should go back to it's tribe." MJ suddenly commented. The group turned to her, "What makes you think the tribe is still active?" Harry questioned.

MJ shrugged, "If they are. They should get it back. But besides that!" She clapped her hands together before rubbing them together as she looked at Megan, "You are coming with me after school."
