The Amazing Spider-Man of Young Justice (Season 1)

An Unexpected Loss

Outside of the Fortress of Solitude, promptly labeled with an S on the door, the Arctic Wind howled as the alien ship sat idle. 

Artemis, in winter gear, moved through the ice formations to an opening that let her see the side of the ship. Miss Martian was camouflaged as she flew up to the ship. Her eyes glowed green for a moment before she used her telekinesis to rip the end of one of the wings. "Communications disabled." she informs before it fell to the icy ground. "Propulsion disabled."

Artemis came away from her hiding spot and fired an arrow at the center red spot on the ship's front, that expanded and then immediately hardened. Now the ship was firing around trying to find them. They got the area right and one shot landed uncomfortably close. "And ETs are sealed inside." 

Aqualad had his vantage point under the ice, as he jumped through the ice with his WaterBearers ready the ship sunk a little. The laser turned to Aqualad immediately and there was nothing he could do other than brace for impact.

Spider-Man luckily jumped in and shot a line of web to the gun to which he pulled away the gunfir and knocked the shot off course. Once he landed, he continued to hold onto it with the help of Wolf until Superboy was bracing it from on top of the ship. Keeping it from moving. 

Wolf growled as he landed on the ice in front of the ship.Kid Flash was a barely noticeable blur, apart from his ginger locks, and Robin jumped off his shoulders to land on the ship. Tapping away on his HoloGlove. "Identifying weapon's structural stress points and links to the ship." he stood from his crouch and pointed them out along the connection route. "Here, here, and here."

Miss Martian delivered three quick telekinetic blasts right where he was pointing, Aqualad watched from the wing as Superboy and Spider-Man yanked at the laser. 

One of the refiners came loose and Wolf, Spider-Man and Superboy could hear it whir to life, Superboy glanced behind him but continues yanking on it while Spider-Man barely gave it the pleasure of a glance. With a growl, Wolf jumped and pushed Superboy out of the way. Superboy rolled through his lands, looking back at the now-empty space. 

Miss Martian gaped at the space. "Wolf." was all she managed to utter...

Wolf was now gone.

Robin was tapping away on his HoloGlove, checking every wavelength he can think of. "There was no indication of feedback." Slowly he turned his head over his shoulder to Superboy. "I'm sorry." 

Superboy looked down for a moment, before Spider-Man spoke up, saying, "Can't do anything for him now." 

Superboy glanced at him and came back to continue yanking the laser off. "Let's go." he grounded out before it came loose.

Miss M watched it come loose with surprise, then called the camouflaged BioShip to their location. Superboy heard it and jumped onto it before it stops. He swung the laser over, and Miss Martian placed her hands on the ship, communicating with it, the hull of the ship moves in swirled to meet the new technology. "Rerouting systems to integrate weapon into ship's bio-matrix. We'll need to de-camouflage for a few minutes." 

"We may not have a few minutes." Robin said as they watched two more ships fly over their now noticeable location, then loop back.

"Miss Martian, open fire." Aqualad commanded, only sparing a quick look over his shoulder. 

"Can't. Weapon systems are off-line to incorporate the new cannon. And that's not fully integrated yet either." she too kept looking back at the now approaching ships.

"Gotcha covered. Get inside! I'm almost there." Artemis said, the only one not on the BioShip, with three arrows nocked onto her bow. She released them at the ships then turned around and ran towards the ship.
