Night
In a private plane,
All of them were now flying and were on their way to the place the Chinese government would meet with Trask and where Mystique would soon eliminate him. They were all in casual clothes with each sitting awkwardly in their seats. Erik sat in front of Charles with a small table between them where a chessboard stood. neither had made a move yet. Peter, who sat a few seats behind Erik's, looked back at the 2. Charles and Erik were simply staring at each other. "Are they telepathically talking or..." Peter asked Logan, who sat opposite of Peter and was reading a newspaper.
Logan didn't look up from his newspaper and answered, "Don't know. Don't care." he said before he flipped over to the next page.
Wally and Superboy sat opposite of each other and were sitting on the left hand side of both Erik and the plane. They both stared suspiciously at Erik, wondering if he would take down the whole plane in his next thought.
M'gann and Artemis sat opposite each other and on the left-hand side of Peter and Logan. M'gann leaned over to Logan, "When last have they actually talked to each other?" she asked.
"Besides just before Magneto got away? Since the Cuba incident." Logan answered. M'gann leaned back onto her seat, anxious on what would happen next.
Kaldur sat opposite Dick. Dick was trying to be calm and not worry about the fact that there was a supervillain amongst them. One that could destroy the entirety of the hall Of Justice with a thought. Kaldur on the otherhand, was busy thinking of ways he would handle if Erik went rogue.
The rest of the X-Men? They tried not to worry.
Erik finally spoke, "Are you not going to make a move?" he asked.
"Erik, I am not in the mood for games right now." Charles replied before he looked out into the window.
Erik went silent. He let out a sigh and he took a sip from his drink on the table, "...I did what I had to do, Charles... For mutant kind."
Charles scoffed with a sarcastic smile before he looked at Erik, "If you think I am going to listen to anything about what you have to say about your cause, then you are out of your mind, Erik." he interrupted. Erik was silent again. Charles then spoke again, "When last did you see her?" he asked.
"See who?"
"Raven." Charles aid annoyingly.
"...A couple months ago..."
"How was she?" Charles asked before he took a sip of his own drink.
"...Angry... We raided a compound of where mutants were being experimented on. I made me sick, but Raven... She was filled with so much rage... More than even me... or than she has ever had..."
"We always knew they would come after us."
"Never thought it would be because of her blood." Erik replied before a long pause, "...She's But she is fighting for our cause."
"YOUR cause. MY cause will never align with yours after this ever again. And you managed to put information into their head that she would never had thought of."
Erik leaned forward, "Last I checked, I am not the one that can get into people's heads... She made a choice, Charles. The least you can do is respect it.
"Oh I respect it..." Charles leaned forward, "But we all know where that very choice leads us... She kills Trask... they capture her... experiment on her... and our race becomes near extinct."
"Not if we can get to her first... change her. We can change out whole future, our whole history."
"Oh..." Charles said, leaning back, "Now you want to do the good thing... Not what it looked like for the past 2 decades. Nothing of what you can say justifies what you have done... taken the things that mean the most to me."
