Triton led Peter, Johnny, Ben, Superboy, and Susan through the dense, bioluminescent forest. The strange flora of the Negative Zone glowed softly around them, casting an eerie yet beautiful light on their path. The group bombarded him with questions as they walked, eager to understand their unexpected ally.

"How did you get here?" Johnny asked, his fiery form flickering with curiosity. His flames provided extra light, reflecting off the iridescent plants and casting odd shadows.

"And when did you arrive?" Peter added, his eyes constantly scanning the surroundings for any threats or signs of the rest of their team.

"What's an Inhuman?" Ben rumbled, his rocky features furrowed in confusion. The Thing's large hands brushed aside the thick, glowing foliage as they moved deeper into the forest.

Triton held up a hand to silence them. "I'll explain everything once we reach my cave. It's not far now."

Peter frowned but nodded, respecting Triton's need for caution. The forest was dense and alien, filled with unfamiliar sounds and sights. Strange, insect-like creatures scuttled away as they passed, and the bioluminescent plants pulsed rhythmically, casting a surreal glow on their path.

"Why were you with those henchmen?" Peter asked after a moment, his curiosity getting the better of him. "They didn't seem like the friendly type."

Triton sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly as he walked. "I was trying to disguise myself as them. I was to plant bombs within the kingdom they serve. But because you attacked them, my plan was ruined. These soldiers barely go into this forest, and now I'll have to wait ages before they come back."

Susan winced, her expression remorseful. "I'm sorry. We didn't know."

Triton gave her a small, understanding nod. "I know. It's not your fault. You couldn't have known."

As they continued walking, Susan asked softly, "Who exactly are you?"

Before Triton could respond, they emerged from the forest into a clearing. In the center of the clearing was a large, cavernous opening with a clear river running through it. Triton turned to them with a smile that seemed both proud and relieved. "Welcome to my home," he said enthusiastically. "I haven't had visitors in years."

The group followed Triton into the cave, immediately struck by its unexpected beauty and tranquility. The cave was expansive, with high ceilings and walls lined with bioluminescent moss that cast a gentle, ambient glow. The river that flowed through the center of the cave was crystal clear, its waters shimmering with an otherworldly light. The sound of the flowing water was soothing, creating a serene atmosphere.

Triton had clearly made the cave his own. There were various makeshift pieces of furniture crafted from local materials, including a sturdy table made from intertwined roots and chairs formed from smooth, polished stones. Shelves carved into the cave walls held an assortment of alien artifacts, tools, and personal belongings, all meticulously organized. Near the back of the cave was a small, cozy area with a bed made of soft, mossy materials and covered with a woven blanket.

Natural light filtered into the cave through small openings in the ceiling, supplemented by the bioluminescent flora, creating a warm, inviting ambiance. There was even a small garden area where Triton had cultivated various plants, their strange, exotic flowers adding splashes of color to the otherwise green and blue environment.

Triton guided Peter, Johnny, Ben, Superboy, and Susan further into the cave until they reached a central area where a green campfire flickered, casting an ethereal glow around the chamber. The fire was surrounded by a circle of makeshift seats fashioned from smooth stones and sturdy roots. Triton gestured for them to sit, and they settled around the campfire, its unusual green flames providing a surprisingly comforting warmth.
