X-Mansion
Scott, Logan, Professor X, Beast, and Peter's teammates entered the building. None of them were in a good mood after today's backstab. "I'm gonna kill Erik." Superboy said. He most especially wasn't in a good mood as he stomped away angrily.
"Hank. Do what you can to find Raven and where she might try and kill Trask next." Charles told him. Beast nodded and walked off.
"If you all just followed my orders..." Scott uttered to himself, but Kaldur could hear clearly.
"I apologize if we didn't obey as you expected us to. But here is a reminder..." Kaldur stepped closer to Scott, "We aren't part of your team." he then walked off, along with Artemis, Wally and Dick.
Scott groaned annoyingly and walked off as well. Suddenly, Charles clutched onto his head in pain. Logan and Peter immediately crouched beside him, "Professor, you okay?" Logan asked.
He shook his head, "No." He steadied his heavy breathing and looked up, "Something's very wrong." He then began to roll off with M'gann, Peter, and Logan following behind.
They eventually made it into their underground base and they were on their way to Cerebro, "This has something to do with why your powers isn't working? Doesn't it?" Peter asked.
Charles let out a tiredly sigh, "...It's my mutation. Recently, for some odd reason, I have not been able to..." He gestured at his head, "I have not been able to focus or use my powers correctly. It's one of the reasons how I haven't been able to find Raven."
"How long's this been going on?" Logan asked.
They reached the door to Cerebro, "Ever since you came." The door then scanned Charles' eye. M'gann was beginning to get a little suspicious on what was wrong.
The door opened and they all made their way inside, "So what're you doing now?" M'gann asked.
"I am going to try and find her again." He said as he began to put the Cerebro helmet on top of his head in front of the monitor.
"I don't think that's a good-"
Suddenly, Cerebro activated. All the displays of mutants and humans were around them. Humans as blue. Mutants as red.
Charles had a dedicated and focused look on his face as he searched for Raven. The humans faded away and the red projections of mutants were left. M'gann began to reach her hand out concerningly, "Mr. Xavier, coming from a telepath, this is not-"
"Ms. Morse. I appreciate your concern, but I am fully capable-" Suddenly, a few of the projections of the mutants cried out in pain. It wasn't from what Charles was doing. Charles was looking at the mutants that were feeling pain. M'gann began to worry. Charles groaned in pain, "I am fully capable of handling myself-" he groaned even more. The amount of mutants in pain suddenly began to increase. Eventually, all the mutants being put on display were mutants in pain. The displays began to fly past them with even more mutants in pain appearing. Charles was clenching onto the monitor in pain, "It's too much." he said. You could hear the pain and agony in his voice, "So much pain!" The speed at which they were 'flying' past mutants began to increase to the point where you wouldn't be able to look at one if you tried.
"Shut it off!"
Charles let out an excruciating scream of agony and pain as suddenly the monitor sparked and went haywire. The displays all shut down as well as Cerebro. Smoke began to eradiate from the control panel as Charles threw the helmet off his head and onto it. Peter crouched beside Charles, "Professor? You alright?" he asked as Charles was slumped over.
