The Watchtower; November 25th, 06:54 EST
The sun rose over the Earth's curvature, its light glinting off the waters and casting a glow over the Watchtower.
In a habitat designed to replicate Earth's environment on the asteroid, a red bird with white accents fluttered its wings quickly before settling on a branch. A flock of birds passed by, and it soon took flight to follow.
Batman, Wonder Woman, and Superman stood together, observing as sunlight crept over the landscape, which appeared almost surreal against the view of the planet's curve.
Diana lowered her hand from her hip and shifted her weight evenly across both feet. "Times like these, one feels the very weight of the world upon us."
Footsteps from behind drew their attention. They turned to see Aquaman joining them. "Everyone is here."
Inside, the entire Justice League stood arranged around a large U-shaped table that lay about five steps down from the entrance where the four entered, the doors sliding shut behind them. All other doors to the room closed as well.
"Our agenda is clear," Aquaman began. "What's at stake should not be underestimated."
"The decisions we make today will reverberate for years to come," Superman added.
"And they will determine whether the world continues to place its trust in the Justice League," Wonder Woman stated.
"Please take your seats," Batman told them. "We have work to do."

All sixteen League members were gathered around the U-shaped table in the center of the room, with Martian Manhunter standing at his place. "Expanding the League again could provoke further hostilities from our enemies," he cautioned. "No one wants another Injustice League."
"Point taken," Superman replied from J'onn's left, "but we can always vote 'no' on all candidates. I nominate Icon for League membership."
An image appeared of Icon—a dark-skinned man with a close-shaven head, wearing a domino mask, a red long-sleeve shirt, black pants, boots, and a dark green cape. His suit was marked by a golden 'O' on his chest, secured by four black straps.
Green Arrow smirked across the table. "What, because you think Icon might be Kryptonian like you did with Shazam?"
Shazam perked up at Oliver's left. "You thought I was Kryptonian? Cool!"
Clark glanced nervously at Billy, while Diana stared at Shazam for a moment. She then placed a hand on Kal-El's forearm as if to reassure him.
"Icon interests me as well," Diana said, her gaze steady. "As does his protégé, Rocket."
An image of Rocket appeared next—around seventeen, dark-skinned, and noticeably punk in her style. Her short hair peeked above an open cowl that blended seamlessly into her bodysuit, worn under coveralls with sleeves pushed up to a three-quarter length. She sported knee pads, sturdy boots, and gloves, with a bright red belt and blue accents adding color.
"Athena knows the League could use more female members," Diana added with a hint of pride.
"Agreed," Dinah said, nodding. "In that case, I'd like to put forward a new candidate for discussion—Jennifer Walters. She goes by She-Hulk."
There was a murmur of interest and a few exchanged glances. On the screen, an image of She-Hulk appeared. Jennifer Walters stood tall and confident, her green skin contrasting sharply with her purple and white bodysuit. Her powerful build radiated both strength and grace, and her expression was calm but determined.
