2 Unlikely Rivalries

MJ stared blankly at Artemis, who stood beside Peter.

It was currently the next day at Midtown High. Peter had just told MJ about Artemis and the whole situation. She wasn't really buzzed by any of that... it was her resemblance. She looked a lot like Gwen! Seriously, like... A LOT.

Her arms were crossed and MJ couldn't help but stare at her the whole time, creeping Artemis out. She leaned to the side towards Peter, "Is she just gonna keep staring?" she asked, snapping MJ out.

"Sorry." She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, "It's just uncanny. But..." She let out a sigh and clapped her hands together, "Welcome to Midtown. You gonna be here long?" she asked.

"Just today. I have my own school to get to after helping Pete." she said before slapping Peter on the back playfully.

MJ simply eyed her as a flashback flew into her mind. When Gwen and peter arrived to school one day...

"Why in the world were you guys so late?" MJ questioned the couple as she walked up to them.

Gwen cheekily smiled at peter, "Well I was just helping Pete with something." She slapped his back playfully, making him blush and awkwardly chuckle.

She continued to eye the 2 superheroes, "Okay..." She noticed behind them, harry was just arriving to school from his limo and her eyes widened, "Okay, well, Harry's here so you're gonna have to come up with an excuse as to why you have so many friends of yours visiting the school out of nowhere and a new hero suddenly appears. Harry isn't that dumb."

Artemis and Peter spun around and saw Harry walking past the gate and was getting close. Peter spun towards the other 2 girls as they came up with a plan.

"Hey guys." Harry greeted. He noticed the new girl, "Who's this?" he asked.

Peter and Artemis slowly turned around to face Harry as MJ stepped out of the way from behind them. Harry froze when he saw Artemis. She looked like Gwen...

"Hi..." Artemis greeted awkwardly.

"Uhhh... Hi." he replied awkwardly as well.

She turned to Peter, "I'm gonna get this a lot, aren't I?" she asked.

Peter nodded, as well as MJ, with Harry continuing to stare.

The bell suddenly rang, grabbing the group's attention as they all looked back at the school. After the ringing was done, MJ looked at the others, "We should get going." she told them.

They all began to make their way towards the school with Artemis ahead of them all. Harry pushed past MJ and Peter, who were walking side by side, before walking beside Artemis, "So what's your name?" he asked her.

Artemis was surprised to see him walking beside her, "Uhh." She had to think of something, "Lia... Leah." she said.

"Well, it's good to meet you, Leah." He said with a smile, to which she smiled back.

MJ leaned closer to Peter, "I don't like her." she whispered.

Peter scoffed, "Oh why's that?" he asked silently.

"Oh, it's nothing , Pete." she said in a mocking tone before slapping Peter hard against the back and making him jump in pain.

"Ouch." He said silently before he began to rub his back, "That hurt."

"You'll be fine. But you get why though, right?" she asked.

Peter sighed, "Sure. But trust me, she's not replacing Gwen."

MJ sighed, "You better be right. I also better not see the 2 of you dating soon, because then you and I are gonna have problems." 

Peter let out a laugh again.
