Gaz had been restraining himself from staring at Elena throughout the game. However, he had noticed the distance Elena had kept throughout the day from him until Grimes and his mates had invited them for another poker game. But there was no way of keeping his eyes away from the agent when she kept winning practically every round.
''It's like you're reading my mind, Ibanez,'' Grimes muttered, shaking his head, and watched as Elena's hands reached over for his chips.
''I think Ghost would be able to win her though,'' the other man added.
''He has a serious poker face...'' Grimes nodded.
''Really?'' Elena asked, raising her eyebrow.
''Well, dude wears a skull mask. How can he not?'' the man chuckled.
Gaz watched as Elena licked her lips and he immediately looked away, seeing as her inviting green eyes began to scan the table. He heard a small yawn escape from her.
''Getting tired, are we?'' Grimes asked and Elena shrugged.
''I didn't get that much sleep,'' Elena replied and Gaz shot his eyes to her.
''How so?'' he asked instantly, causing Elena to shrug again.
''Too much happening. Got a few hours though,'' she answered. ''So I'll try to be merciful and quickly finish this game-''
The entrance door loudly shut, causing everyone to look its way. Gaz took a deep breath in, trying to spot who it was. He was quick to realize that it was his captain accompanied by Laswell marching their way. Concerned faces and seeming breathless, they walked up to them.
''It's Graves. He's gone mad,'' Price informed, causing Gaz to stand up immediately.
''What's happened?''
''He betrayed them. Alejandro and the rest of Los Vaqueros are imprisoned,'' Laswell told them.
''And what about Ghost? Soap?'' Gaz asked, concern in his voice.
Price huffed.
''We don't know. Let's hope they're alive,''
''We're thinking they might have escaped and are going to the prison as well... to save them,'' Laswell added.
''Let's go,'' Gaz confirmed and nodded.
Elena stood up, making Gaz turn his head, as she stood next to him.
''I'll go gear up,'' she said, practically having read Laswell's mind, as both of them nodded.
''Same with your four,'' Price ordered and the other men stood up too.
''Wait, you're coming too?'' Gaz asked, eyes giving away his puzzled reaction. Elena, though, turned to look at him wearing a slightly warning expression.
''Of course,''
''But you're an agent,'' Gaz commented and Elena crossed her arms.
''I can handle a gun. I was in a task force too once,''
As Elena took a step away, Gaz looked in Price's direction, hoping for some clarification.
''Where did you serve?'' Gaz asked, having earned no reply from Price.
Elena turned around, giving him a second worth of glance.
''160. The Night Stalkers,'' Elena replied, accentuating the title of the force.

With a change of boots, geared up, hair tied up, and a baseball cap on, Elena walked down the corridors to locate the team and help with storing the weapons on their helicopters. She recognized Grimes and his friends already working on it.
