Hey! This chapter is A DEFINITE 18+ in regard to violence, blood, and off-screen scenes of torture. However, it is still mentioned and partially described, so please read with discretion if that is something you do not handle. Still, this chapter was awesome to write, but just wanted to advise some readers! :))

She found herself in a beautiful, vibrant garden, bathed in the warm glow of the setting sun. Gaz stood before her, his smile as warm as usual. The two of them walked hand in hand through the garden, leading to a welcoming house.
They seemed to be laughing at something the man had just said, Gaz's laugh genuine and Elena's smile wide. Elena's hand nestled in Gaz's, as they reached an idyllic cottage on the outskirts of a picturesque countryside. Surrounded by rich greenery, the house embraced the couple in its comforting atmosphere.
''We're home...'' Gaz said, close to Elena's ear. Elena smiled, closing her eyes and squinting from happiness. ''We're finally home.''
However, when Elena opened her eyes again, the garden crumbled apart, replaced by an echoing void. Elena felt a sense of foreboding, as fear overcame her, and a pang tugged at her consciousness.
Abruptly, Elena was jolted awake, her eyes fluttering open to the harsh reality of her surroundings. The warmth of the dream disappeared, as her breath hitched and her head throbbed with pain. It was a reminder of the struggle.
Darkness.
It felt as if her eyes had been so used to the comfort of the dream that it hurt to stare at the nothingness around her. The room, resembling an abandoned warehouse or a dungeon was a contrast to the just lived-in dream with Gaz.
The air in the warehouse was thick with an industrial chill. The only illumination came from a sporadically placed, flickering overhead light. Only one. The cold concrete floor beneath her added to the overall sense of desolation. Besides that, there was a horrible stench that filled the place. The room echoed with an eerie silence, broken only by distant sounds of screaming. Elena closed her eyes and wished she could rub them. Alas, she was in restraints.
Elena didn't need to look at the thick chains holding her in place. She didn't need to hear the clinking of metal links. The chains were unforgiving, as their cold embrace restricted her movement and served as a constant reminder of her captivity. It wasn't the first time she was in chains, of course. But still, a deep sense of urgency gripped her.
Elena adjusted her eyes to the dim light of the warehouse, blinking and seeing the bleak reality of her surroundings. The room, cold and dirty, soon revealed its grim details.
A gasp escaped from Elena and her chains clinked together, as she noticed a silhouette to her right. Only a foot away, she discerned the form of another person. They lay slumped against the wall, motionless, in the same chains as Elena. The man had been there for a while. That explained the horrible smell.
Elena turned her head away from the figure.
There was no way to tell the time.
No way to know where she is.
And no way to figure out what had happened to the others. Elena could only hope that she had been the only one captured. However, from what Willem had told, they had their eyes on everyone, even Ghost who had been hidden in another building.
Elena pursed her lips and licked them, aching for water. She sniffed, immediately smelling the blood on her face. There was no time to waste and ponder about everyone else. If she was awake, there was something she had to do about the situation.
