Welcome back to another chapter! The first perspective of this chapter will be set from Soap's view of things as if he had written things down in a journal (therefore, a first-person perspective with a different narrative). However, most interestingly - someone once close to Elena will make his return in this chapter, causing things to take a turn. Hope you enjoy it! :)

Hassan Zyani. Who knew that shooting that bastard down wouldn't mean the end? As far as Laswell had found out, the major had three large ally bases set worldwide.

France.

Russia.

New Mexico.

The 141, accompanied by Laswell and Ibanez, already took care of the base in the Western outskirts of France. Only after two days' rest, we flew out to the countryside. There we also found out that Ibanez spoke their tongue. French. Of course, a CIA agent speaks French. Probably knows fifty more languages too.

On the same note about her, the day after our night at the bar, Gaz talked to me. During our afternoon training, he came up to me and told me how he had liked her first. I expected something like that to happen. Bloke was staring at her the whole night, complimenting her poker abilities. He even bought her a drink. Of course, I'll back out if Gaz likes her. But I'm sure the American agent would have liked me too...

Russia kicked our asses quite a bit though. It was close to freezing and we had to attack at night. Couldn't feel my toes. And the fucking dogs... Russian dogs above all. Hated evading and taking down those fuckers the most. And there, yet again, we found out a little something about Ibanez. Who would have thought she knows Russian too?

It went a little something like this.

''Hold on,'' Ibanez whispered and put her hand up. ''He's going for a smoke. Both of them are.''

''Bloody hell, woman,'' I answered. ''Ya know Russian?''

''I understand it well. But I suck at speaking,'' Ibanez replied.

''Good enough for us now,'' Price chuckled.

That woman is full of surprises and I love seeing Gaz become all flushed like a little girl whenever she talks to him. Does she notice that? A CIA agent would though... who knows. I should probably get some sleep. We're flying out to New Mexico tomorrow. Thank fucking God it's not going to be cold.

Geared up just as much, but dressed for a warmer climate, Elena sat on their flight to New Mexico with the rest of 141 and Kate. At their arrival, Alejandro and a few members of the Los Vaqueros would accompany them to the outlying district where the secret base was set.

Having just been to the cold winter in the depths of Russia, Elena much preferred the sunny but not scorching weather. She sat with an open book, letting her mind absorb the information laid out in front of her.

''Really? Same pirate book?'' Gaz wondered, bumping her on the shoulder, as he sat down.

Elena's eyes averted from the book as she glanced at the Sergeant.

''I didn't really get time to read much...'' she replied and looked back down. ''I'm not the best reader actually...''

''You're definitely not as bad as me,'' Gaz chuckled. ''I can't remember the last time I picked up a book honestly.''

Elena smiled and shut the book, observing the cover and tapping her fingers lightly against it.

''I used to be a huge reader. Kind of gradually stopped but I've been trying to be better,''
