As the plane hummed steadily beneath her, Elena's mind raced through the details of their mission, piecing together the fragments of intel they had gathered so far. It was a grim narrative. Although she felt better, she knew that every piece was fitting into a larger, more terrifying puzzle.

Kate had infiltrated the Arklov Military Base in Verdansk, risking everything to meet with Colonel Yuri Volkov. The man had handed over a flash drive with everything about the chemical weapons General Barkov had been secretly producing. However, she had been at risk. Makarov's missiles and his ruthless ambition left no doubt of his intentions.

Elena felt the man was always several steps ahead. The Kastovian airliner on the plane. People lost their lives, as the blast obliterated the plane and killed everyone on board. Makarov was the puppeteer, playing with the world. Even though Farah and Alex managed to clean up the evidence, removing any trace of ULF involvement with the dealt damage, the fight never ended.

Now, as they neared Verdansk, Kastovia, Elena knew they were heading into the heart of it all. The intel Kate had gathered was crucial, but it was only a piece of the puzzle. They needed to meet with Kate and Nikolai, to connect the dots and figure out Makarov's next move.

The helicopter's blades slowly wound down as it touched the ground outside a large, weathered hangar nestled in the countryside. Price, Elena, Gaz, Soap, and Ghost stepped out, their boots crunching against the gravel. They moved with practised ease, their eyes scanning the surroundings as they headed inside.

Inside the hangar, Kate Laswell stood waiting, her posture firm but with a hint of weariness in her eyes. As Price approached, she looked up, acknowledging him with a nod.

"How ya holding up?" Price asked, his tone a mix of concern and professionalism.

"Still here," Laswell replied with a small, resolute smile.

Elena stepped forward, and Kate's expression softened as she pulled her into a warm hug. "How're you doing?" Kate asked, her voice filled with genuine care.

"Much better," Elena assured her. "My breathing's finally back to normal."

"Good to hear," Kate said, giving Elena's shoulder a gentle squeeze before stepping back.

"My brothers..." Nikolai greeted, his voice filled with familiar cheer.

"Nik!" Gaz grinned, stepping forward to embrace Nikolai.

Price extended his hand to Nikolai, and the two men shook firmly.

"How ya doin', comrade?" Price asked.

"Better now, Captain," Nikolai responded, a wry smile tugging at his lips. "Fucking Ultranationalists..."

Elena approached Nikolai with a smile, extending her hand. They had worked briefly together years ago with Kate, and there was a mutual respect between them.

"Good to see you again, Nik," Elena said.

Nikolai shook her hand warmly.

"Likewise, Elena. It's been too long," he responded.

A short time later, the group gathered around a large screen inside the hangar. The atmosphere was tense as Kate displayed the security footage from Verdansk International Airport. The grainy video played, showing a man walking casually through the security checkpoint, seemingly unnoticed by anyone around him.

"Security feed from the airport," Kate began, her voice steady but grave. "Passenger had a boarding pass for Flight 761."

Soap leaned in closer, his eyes narrowing at the screen.
