A week had passed since Elena's shopping trip with Ghost, which, as completed successfully, gave her a week's time to prepare the 141 for Christmas. It was the morning of Christmas Eve. Tomorrow would be Christmas. And even though many years had passed since she had last celebrated it together with her father, her memories were strong enough to fulfill her, so she could be together at Christmas with her new family.
Elena was slowly accepting it. Her new family.
Price had fully accepted her too and was confidently praising her to and behind her face. Elena had, of course, informed Kate about it. Both women were happy to see Price's cheerful attitude too.
And Elena, or to him 'Morgan', had made a lot of progress with Ghost. There was a weird thing about the two in regard to their reputation as being quiet. Somehow, whenever Elena happened to be only with him, they enjoyed their quiet time. Elena knew that Ghost would understand their silence and even appreciate it. However, whenever the group was together, Elena seemed louder, and more talkative than Ghost, often urging him to participate in watching a game or playing a card game.
And John fucking Mactavish. Soap! Soap was always a handful and a golden retriever of a human being. But Elena adored his personality and began to see him more and more as a brother. A younger one, of course. Not only was she a year older than him, but she could never see Soap as the older figure. Although she knew how brutal and gruesome he could be if needed.
And Gaz.
Elena smiled to herself, as she tore off a small piece of tape to hang the fairy light string.
Kyle was Elena's favorite. Of course, she hadn't told anyone and she was sure that no one noticed. Whenever the two were together, she called him Kyle. She thought of him as special to her. He was incredibly special to her and she wanted to make him feel that she thought so. But truth be told, she sometimes had a hard time understanding whether his behavior could be excused as his personality or did the man have a crush on her too.
Elena pursed her lips and checked her watch. She had enough time to disappear into her room and await the guys to arrive in the now-decorated lounge and kitchen. Holding the chair that had been taken from her room, Elena looked around the area with a proud smile.
''Nice!'' she whispered and swiftly turned around, disappearing into her room.

Gaz felt a familiar sensation when he woke up. It had been a month ago when he had woken up to the smell of something delicious in the air. But now, he knew who was responsible for it. However, even though he rushed to get to the kitchen, he was surprised to see that he was not the first one awake. Definitely hadn't been by the state of the lounge.
''How the hell did she manage that?'' Soap exclaimed, trying to keep to a whisper.
Gaz chuckled to himself and suggested that Soap put on some pants and a shirt in case Elena could be walking around. Definitely not jealous if Elena saw the Sergeant in that form, no. Definitely not.
''She must have been up all morning,'' Gaz continued, looking around.
The lounge no longer was of the same greyish color. Christmas lights both colorful and beige ones decorated the ceiling and cupboards in the kitchen area. Christmas bulbs in different colors were hung around the entire room. Tinsel hung from the ceiling and around the window. She had even placed a large sparkling golden star on the windowsill.
Gaz looked outside. It was still dark, even though the clock showed barely past seven in the morning. That was winter and Gaz sometimes wasn't the biggest fan of the sun disappearing so soon. But this morning, he knew that the dark sky and dim-lit room couldn't look any better.
