Tick Tock, Tick Tock, was the only sound that can be heard in the living room, the lights were dimmed, the curtains were drawn back, as the thin layer of clouds masked the full moon, filling the room with blue light. Devers was standing near the window swirling the wine glass, while her thoughts were washed away, she was thinking about her father's reaction when she told him about Galvin's new powers, the fear that engulfed his eyes, the man that she knew to be tough and strict, suddenly turned to be a child that lost his mother.

-"What are you not telling us dad? How long you will have hide everything from us? Aren't we ready just yet!" such questions were repeating in her mind since he left her wondering alone.

The bedroom door was creaking as he opened it slowly, in fear that his wife might be sleeping wishing not to disturb her, but for his surprise she was waiting for him, sitting on her rocking chair near the window, looking at the full moon with her sleepy eyes. His smile was wide "thank god she is awake" said to himself as he slowly closed the door and walk towards her, she giggled as she knew it was him just from his footsteps "your back honey" she said with her sleepy voice.

He kneeled on his knee, held her hands and placed it on his cheeks "sorry if I made you worry" he said sadly. She looked straight into his eyes, as it was full of fear, the fear that she witnessed it long time ago when he read that book, she knew something happened, but chose to wait for him to talk. His eyes were full of tears, chose to bury his head into her chest, she hugged him tightly, stroking his head "everything will be alright my love" she said softly.

He pulled away and looked at her sleepy eyes "what did I do to deserve you? Knowing that my heart was not capable to love" he said calmly, she leaned and kiss his forehead "thank you for existing, I will never forget that day when we first met, all of the moments that we shared together, I cherish them all, *kissed his lips* you are capable to love, but chose to ignore it" she said with a smile.

-"D-do you think w-what we did, hiding our past to our daughters was the right call?" he said stutteringly

-"It might be right and wrong at the same time, we wished for them to live their lives without fear, both of us held the burden of that war, we stopped him together knowing one day he will be back, *inhale sharply* I know they live in wonder why they are hated, but in due time the truth will be revealed my love" she said softly

He nodded and hug her tightly, wishing that he could cover them under his cloak, protect them from everything "I will protect all of you, even if it will end my life, I will protect you" he said firmly, as she buries her head into his shoulder and sobbed loudly.

Meanwhile,

The front door was opened slowly, as the sisters were trying to sneak in to avoid being caught, unfortunately Devers was anticipating their arrival as she pointed one of the bodyguards to alert her if they are close.

-"Ouch!!! shit watch it! Are you blind! you stepped on my foot!!" Galvina said in pain. "Shut it, you sleep in a complete utter darkness and yet you manage to walk with ease" Nergal answered annoyingly. "Quiet! Both of you!! I swear if Devers saw us right now, we will be sentence to death" Merihim said angrily

-Devers was standing behind the door, waiting for them to come in so she can lock it and prevent their escape. "you are correct my dear sister, thank you for brining those two back home safe and sound,*held her chin* now shall the court take place? I'm sure all of you would like to brief me before I lock all of you in your rooms don't you think?" she said devilishly

Nergal and Galvina gasped and gulped hardly, problem is what should they say to her? Everything as they know she will be furious? Or just lie and get away with it?
