The night is young when our devils are still gathering in the backyard. The dinner has been served, as they all began to dig in after a long day of preparations and practice. The hunger made them eager to eat the entire table, the insufficient amount of energy that they had left, made them unable to even speak to one another, all their eyes were fixated upon their dishes. It wasn't just their stomach that is eager to digest any amount of food, it was their hearts and minds that is thinking about the day of their demise.

Regardless of their never ended practices, regardless of their dedication towards their kind, regardless of their trust within their powers, none anticipated such day. They thought through their entire lives, such war were mere myths. They held their end of the deal, they lived their lives in peace with everyone, they never interfered, even when necessary. They always lived in the shadows of those who can step into the light without any fear.

The angel and the devil, those who made an example to all creatures, were the setting stone to such harmonic life. Both forces are able to live together in peace, but unfortunately, the darkness will always find its ways into the weaken hearts. Even though they tried to reach out, they tried to explain, convince, and even spoke out loud in front of everyone, yet all of these efforts were wasted. Even though the parents where supportive and caring, they cannot expunge all of the hatred that is held against them. Everyone will still hunt them down, even if their lives are on the line to help.

They both carried the burden of the feeling that it called love, they both fought for the name of equality, they both are still standing stiff, as they are the only example, in this world of discrimination. As the devils eyes were zoned out for a bit, they decided to seek solace by delving deep into their thoughts, swimming through the ocean of reminisces, cherishing away the memories that they created. As they pass the walls of the memory of dearly time, a smile formed in lips for those who remembers. One of them was laughing on her stupidity as she tries to impress, the other was biting her lips as she craves for a gentle touch, the last was tearing for the warmth that she missed.

Why? They asked themselves over and over again, why they were born in such time where equality is a statement that is only written in books which are stored somewhere, as none will read them?. Why? The feeling of love, is a currency that is must be paid with blood and sacrifice?. Why? Can't they be accepted for who they are?. Why? After all that had happened, none is able to forget and forgive?. They kept on thinking pacing back and forth, tying to balance their thoughts with their memories, until their silence was cut off.

-He cleared his throat, looking at everyone who was in the deepest layer of her mind, they all startled yet annoyed, as he ruined their only time of when their hearts start to beat again. He heaves a sigh, while he slightly lowered his head, knowing that he truly ruined their quality time. Despites of such annoyance towards him, he has to share what's aching his heart. He glanced at his wife, who she was looking at him tenderly, reaching out and grabbing her hand, as he needs some encouragement. "My devils" he called "I'm truly sorry for what had become". He gulped and continued. "the blame should be on me alone" he apologized "I brought you to this world..when I tried to change it...I only got my fair share of peace from a human king" his eyes wondered across their faces as he continued "However, as I tried to reach out those who are born from light...they cut me off, they pushed me away, the creatures who which I thought are benevolent"

-He couldn't help but to shed a tear of shame and hopelessness, as he reached out and wiped it before it burns his cheek. He then inhaled deeply and continued. "How ironic...that the person who loved me was a creature of light, she accepted me for who I am...I wish that such acceptance was spread around her kind" He smiled sadly "forgive me..as all I ask for is forgiveness from all of you, I shall try to plea with him one last time, if nothing changes his mind..then we shall meet together in a life..where we can live without such antipathy". Suriel burst into tears, listing to his words which was daggers to her heart. She tried to calm herself, but nothing can cleanse her core, not after glimpsing on her daughters, who were trying their best to stay strong and hold their tears.
