Chapter Seventeen

It was early in the morning, the artistic golden sun got up like a portrait painter, and started painting the dark black sky into a bright blue sky. The bright looking milky clouds got up from sleep and started traveling around the sky visiting the wonderful environment. Fresh windy cool and crispy air started whistling like an invisible ghost. The red and Green in color birds with chili like beak started twitting their morning melody, as the enormous garden stood like a royal palace, and the thick dried strong big branches danced welcoming the day.

The mansion was in tranquil, the only sound that can be heard was the clock in the main living room. The sun rays has began to stream through the window, casting a warm glow on the mansion. The dwellers, were peacefully sleeping in their rooms, after a hard day of work, wishing that the time will stop as their bodies is urging for repose.

Devers POV;

The warming rays of the sun slowly peeked through the window and into my room. As every morning begins, I am awakened by these beams of light shining in my face. As I sat up, I looked out my bedroom window. Through the thick brush of trees, I see what little sun I can as it casts its sunbeams in every direction. I watched the sun climb higher into the sky. But the higher it got the less time I realized I had to prepare for my day.

I sighed loudly wishing that the time could stop for a moment, wishing that I could enjoy the view, the calm and quiet moment of silence. Unfortunately, with my obligations and responsibilities towards my clients, is what pushes me to work harder for them, in exchange of sacrificing my own peaceful time. I am not complaining god forbid, I do enjoy my job, but sometimes there is a time when everything has to end.

I went to freshen up and change to prepare for my long day, until a sudden thought popped into my mind, how was my sisters first day at work yesterday? I couldn't find the time to call them as I was bombarded with my cases, which caused me to work very late, as I reached home around midnight, and pretty much everyone was dead asleep. What intrigued me the most is Merihim! She usually keeps me updated especially if something happens to either one of them.

Well I know that I've specifically instructed her to keep an eye on Galvina, but it doesn't mean that her left eye is a sleep on Nergal right? Sigh do I have to keep an eye on everything? I do love my sisters, but sometimes I really lost track on everything, they keep secrets, last time they snuck out, and now I don't know what did they do. It is ironic, that Merihim joined that side as well, which is not helping at all!! Hmm did Galvina already knew about Eva? did she do something out of the blue? well knowing my sister and her temper, I bet she fired half of her employees by then.

-Actually talking to myself is not helping, I have to check on Merihim before I leave for work, the last thing I need is a catastrophe in this house. As soon as I got ready, I went to her room and stood in front of her door, for unknown reason I was afraid to knock the door, afraid of what I will learn, afraid that I was too late to help. Suddenly the door has opened, I gasped loudly, while she was giggling. "m-morning, h-how did you k-know that I-I was standing" I said stutteringly, quiet honestly I was scared. 

-She smirked "because I know you the most, I bet you kept wondering why I didn't message you yesterday right? but honestly I was about to come to your room, I need to talk" she said calmly. I nodded and entered her room, my heart was pounding, my mind was numb, I feel that I am going to faint at any moment, what did my sisters do!!

-I sat on the chair as she faced me sitting on her small table, I can tell from her eyes that what she witnessed yesterday was not pleasing at all, I gulped hardly and waited for her to talk. She clenched her fist, and lowered her head. "Devers! please don't leave me like this! I am lost, afraid and tired! I don't know what to do without you! Please help" she said panickly. I reached out my hand and held hers. "I am always here my dear, now tell me what happened yesterday, did either one of them got hurt?" I asked wonderingly.
