Moment of Truth

The hug they shared felt like it lasted a lifetime.

When they pulled away from each other, their gazes never left each other. Like no one else mattered. Like nothing else mattered.

They can drown in silence together, and they'll think it is enough. That's the kind of connection they have.

But there are a lot of things that still has to be said, so Mina took the initiative to talk, holding her soulmate's hands tightly.

"Chaeyoung. My Chaeyoung. We have been inseparable since the first time you held my hand. We have been together for almost all of our lives. We've been there for each other for the highest of highs and for the lowest of lows. And I couldn't imagine my life without you. You are the other half of me. And I want you to know that whatever happens, I'll always be here for you. And that I, love you, with all of my heart."

At this point, both of them were already crying. Chaeyoung tried to pull her hand from Mina's grasp to wipe the girl's tears, but the older won't let go, this made the cub chuckle a bit.

"I love you too, unnie." The younger replied with a genuine smile.

"I love you, Chaeyoung. You don't know how much I meant every word that I said. But, I want nothing but your happiness. I love you so much that seeing you happy will make me happy too. So, I'm handing you over to your happiness. Go to him, babe. Be happy."

The last thing girl said confused Chaeyoung.

Little by little, Mina let her hand go, moving aside to reveal a guy, with his back facing them.

He slowly turned around and walked to the girl as the penguin stepped aside.

"Hi, hon. Uh... Surprise?" He said, looking so shy, scratching his non itchy eyebrow while handing a white stemmed rose to his girlfriend.

Said girl was still obviously shocked. Still oblivious of what might be happening, so he decided to speak, while gently wiping Chaeyoung's cheeks.

"When I first laid my eyes on you, I knew you were the one. I knew right there and then that you are the woman of my dreams. We have been together in a while now, and I could say that we weren't perfect, but the relationship we had was the best I could ever have. You were the perfect balance that I needed for my life. You have always been there for me, since I was struggling to now. You never let go of my hand. And now, my goal is to never have to let go of yours." Jungkook was already tearing up at this point.

"I know how much you love your friends and family, so I made sure to get their approval and blessing before I decided to get down on one knee. I also invited everyone dear to our hearts to witness this special moment. I won't promise anything to you, but I ask you to believe in me when I say that I will never change. That the guy you fell in love with, will always be here by your side, ready to support you, and give you the love that you needed. I will not cage you or take away your freedom, rather I will walk with you, cry with you, and rejoice with you in every step you will take. So, Son Chaeyoung, will you make me the happiest guy on earth and hold my hand forever by agreeing to be my wife?"

Jungkook finally got down on one knee, taking out a ring with a beautiful shiny diamond, presenting it to his girlfriend, he wishes to be his wife.

Chaeyoung was still in cloud 9. She still doesn't believe what was happening now. She feels dizzy and confused with how this night started up to now. Everyone's eyes were on her, but hers looked for a set of black orbs, now shiny with unshed tears. When their eyes met, diamond tears fell first from the girl's left eye, before continuously falling.

"Mina-unnie..." She thought.
