PHOENIXSQUINTED, AS the sun shone into her room and onto her face. She could feel that her bruises and cuts were sore. She groaned as she stretched, wincing slightly—since her abdomen hurt.
Phoenix steadied herself, as she stood up for her bed. Her leg didn't hurt terribly today, it was sore, but she could walk better— even though she had a slight limp.
Checking the clock that was applied on her wall, Phoenix realized It was already around eleven p.m., she hoped that nothing terrible had happened while she was asleep.
Phoenix didn't care that she was wearing pajamas, she just hoped there was some sort of shop in the hotel.
The brunette girl walked the halls, wearing Converse with her pajamas— which were the hotel's clothes. Phoenix was surprised at the emptiness of the hotel, the entire hotel felt as if it were silent.
Phoenix made her way into the golden elevator, pressing the ground button. She walked out of the contraption, after it dinged— indicating that it was at its destination. Phoenix walked through the main lobby, of the hotel, There were maybe, four people that she could see.
Normally there were over twenty, just at the salad bar. Phoenix walked through the hotel, having an eerie feeling lingering in the air.
Phoenix hadn't seen anyone she knew, which concerned her, she hoped that everyone was well and that she would see someone soon. She found a clothing shop of some sort that sold clothing. She stepped in, seeing no one, she figured she'd better hurry, so she could just take the clothes and leave, since she had no energy— nor money.
All of a sudden another earthquake shook the ground, making the clothing swing off of hangers and racks. A blue wave filled the city, bringing itself into the hotel.
Phoenix held onto the side of the room, hoping that no one had disintegrated. Phoenix pushed herself back steadily, as the earthquake stopped.
"Shit." she muttered to herself when the cuts on her hand started to have a heartbeat.
She was starting to get cold, so she began to look around the store, grabbing random clothing as she went. She wanted to have multiple outfits since she'd be staying a while. Phoenix snuck her way out of the store, taking the clothes back up to her room.
