FIVE WALKED DELORES to her front door since he had an investigation late that night.
"I had fun," Delores said with a small happy sigh, looking up at Five.
Five nodded, "I knew you would. I'm glad." he smiled for a moment, but it immediately faded— like always.
Delores watched the smile disappear, a sick feeling in her stomach at his placid face, "Goodnight, Five."
She was close to him. She could kiss him if she wanted to. She did. She wanted to. She knew he wanted to kiss her.
But she didn't think he could stand her for any longer.
She knew at some point he would break. She knew he wouldn't be able to handle the fact of who she is, and who she was.
Five glanced at her lips, he was leaning closer. Delores didn't pull away, but she knew this would absolutely ruin them both.
Her front door began to unlock, and Five cleared his throat taking a step away from her— awkwardness hanging in the air now.
Beatrice opened the door and smiled at the two. Delores smiled at her mother, and Five gave her a quick smile and a nod.
"Did you throw up?" Beatrice asked, eyeing her daughter who looked clean.
"Surprisingly, no." Delores replied, and glanced at Five, "Goodnight, Five." she smiled at him, and stepped inside her house, the cold December air leaking into her warm home.
"Night." he nodded and sighed, watching her step into her house.
Beatrice smiled at Five, "Bonne nuit, Cinq."
"Bonne nuit." Five replied.

It was late. Not extremely late. But late.
It was around seven, and Delores should be having dinner with her mother— but no, she let her head the best of her.
Delores couldn't believe she was doing this, but here she was, wearing a casual deep brown dress with a leather jacket over it.
