THE GROUP SAT— or stood, around thinking about nothing, and everything at the same time. Ben had been drinking like crazy, and Solane and Luther were passing invitations for their wedding.
"Wow." Lila laughed, "And you did all of this yourself?" Lila asked, impressed by the little jars with everyone's names on them.
"Luther helped too, we stayed up all night," Solane said as she passed Five, and Phoenix one each.
Phoenix grabbed the smaller jar from Solane and observed it, sending the girl a weak smile, trying not to the think of her soon— inevitable death.
Lila opened hers, "Amazing." she murmured, gawking at the little package.
Before Phoenix could even open hers, two people ran up the stairs, and onto their balcony.
"Dad?" Ben asked, making Phoenix's head snap over to where the Man had stood.
"Klaus," Allison called loudly, relived to see her brother.
"Hey." Klaus breathed out, obviously out of breath.
"Oh, thank God," Viktor said, nothing in his tone but relief.
"The hell have you been?" Diego asked Klaus, worried about his brother's where about s.
"Oh, Reg and I. We got tangled up in a whole father-son-end-of-the-world road trip kinda thing." Klaus explained, as Phoenix gave death stares to Reginald.
"You two are hanging, now?" Ben asked a slight bit of jealousy in his voice.
"Yeah we laughed, we cried, we played in traffic, and long story short, I'm immortal now." Klaus said, then made 'yeah!' noises, cheering for his own accomplishment— and the statement piqued Five's interest.
"Whoa, wait. You're what now?" Luther asked, confused on what he even said— not processing the fact his brother could live forever.
"Klaus, have you gotten into the bath salts again?" Allison asked, her eyebrows furrowed.
"I think the more pertinent question is, why are you all sitting around playing with jars?" Reginald asked, as he observed what was in each of their hands.
