"THIS WASN'T ABOUT saving the world." Viktor paused, "This was about hurting me. Payback for-" Viktor stopped talking when Alison stood up, starting to step closer toward Viktor.
Phoenix began to stand, to break the fight, and then she felt a hand on her wrist. She turned her head towards the hand then the person, it was Five.
He locked eyes with her, shaking his head 'no'. He subtly pulled her back down to sit on the couch. She sat there, tense, Five's hand still on her wrist, and her leg bouncing, watching the entire thing unfold. Alison towered over Viktor, eyeing him.
"Say her name." Alison threatened as she whispered.
"You know what?" Luther got up, approaching them, "Maybe we should all just take a minute-" Alison waved him off, Luther was already on edge, and began to sit down again, "Okay."
"Did killing Harlan bring Claire back?" Viktor asked his tone low, almost threatening Allison to act on his words.
"Did protecting him bring Sissy back?" Alison twisted his words into her own, "It was just as personal for you-"
"I didn't kill anyone!" Viktor bursted out suddenly, his tone broken and hysterical.
"But you risked everyone!" Alison yelled, enunciating her words, as she yelled, "Do you know what that felt like? Watching you fight harder to protect the man who helped destroy my daughter than you ever did to bring her back?"
"I don't how to bring Claire back." Viktor said quietly, "Okay? No one does. But I was there for you. I tried-"
"To what?" Alison cut him off, "Help me grieve? God, this family is so quick to tell me to suck up my pain and so worried about fixing yours!" she said as if she was the only one.
"Somebody had to pay because you never seem to. Destroy the world kill pogo, almost kill me, and for what? So we can all run around and clean up your mess? I'm sick of it." Alison spat the venomous words out.
Phoenix was about to burn this woman if she didn't shut her mouth soon. Phoenix went to move her hand again, preparing herself to fight, but Five continued to hold onto her wrist, not letting her go, shaking his head at her— but she wasn't going to just sit and let this all happen.
