DELORES FORCED HER nausea down, as everyone else ate their food. She hadn't been really paying attention to their small talk and sarcastic jokes.
She glanced over at one of the Hargreeves occasionally, but immediately looked away— the food she ate that that small café with Five and Lila wanting to spew from her mouth.
"Alright," Viktor spoke up, "I gotta hit the road, actually." he sighed and took his napkin off his mouth, starting to stand from his chair.
"No!" Klaus whined, "So soon?" he asked, sadly tilting his head.
"Aw, come on, Vik! Stay a bit longer." Luther protested.
"No, wait!" Diego also whined, "Stay, man." he frowned at his brother.
"It's just such a long drive." Viktor got up from his seat, "So, yeah." he replied to his siblings who protested.
"Aw, okay." Delores looked over, and Viktor sent her a small smile— unsure of how to talk to the girl who was once Phoenix.
"Yeah, I should go too." Alison said, folding her napkin on the counter, "I've got an audition tomorrow."
Everyone awkwardly stared at her. Delores felt slightly bad that everyone wanted Viktor to stay but weren't protesting for Allison to stay.
"Like a big, important audition," Klaus said dramatically, and Allison hit his lightly in the chest, "and we have to boot camp the lines!" he clapped his hands together.
"You've gotta drive the kids to the dentist at seven a.m.," Lila said, looking over at Diego.
Diego laughed in a strained manner, "Why you gotta make it so early again?" he asked, before grabbing his beer and starting to down it.
Delores looked at Diego with concern— he's been acting odd ever since they stepped back into the academy.
"'Cause they have school at eight." Lila smiled sarcastically wide at Diego, before rolling her eyes and standing up from her chair.
"Yeah, I have work." Delores yawned, as she began to stand, and Five did the same.
"Me too." he sighed and grabbed Delores jacket off the back of her chair and handed it back to her.
