"I'M SCARED," DELORES admitted, as she was sat in the blue light room with Five and Reginald.
Everyone else was preparing for the next downstairs while waiting on a call back from Five's buddies back at the CIA.
Five sighed, knelt next to the chair she was in, and buckled the large belt over her, "It's okay." he sighed and looked over at Delores.
"Yeah, you said you wouldn't- ow!" Delores winced at her arm that Five accidentally moved the belt over— the belt grazing over the wound that tainted her arm's skin.
"Sorry." he apologized, and secured her belt as she moved her arm, "Continue." Five said, since her words were cut off, as he fixed the belt around her waist.
"You said you didn't want Reggie around your brain, but you're letting him mess with mine." Delores sighed, looking at Five.
"We know it's safe now." Five said, moving to grab the plastic mouthpiece, "My siblings were the lab rats." he said, handing her the plastic.
Delores frowned, "They said it hurt." she held the mouthpiece and toyed with it.
Five sighed, and gave her a quick smile, before rubbing her upper arm— where her graze wasn't.
"You're going to be okay," he assured— again, not great at comforting, plus he didn't know if she would be okay. He hoped she would. But he had a huge fear of her head getting fried eating at the back of his mind.
Delores sighed and nodded, as Five moved the head plates to the sides of her head, as she bit onto the plastic piece.
Five reluctantly left her side and went to stand by the console for the machine, watching Reginald— making sure he didn't do anything unsafe for Delores.
"Stand by," Reginald said, as he flicked some of the switches and pressed a few of the buttons.
All of a sudden the lights switched to red, and Delores felt her heart racing, scared of what she was going to see. Blood pumped through her ears, and she tried to calm her heavy breathing.
The large bowl thing above her head began to project flowers and images over her face, and she squinted at the light, before her eyes widened, feeling her brain unlocking past things.
