"STOP. FIVE, YOU'RE embarrassing me." Delores shook her head, Five's and her coffee in her hands.

A group of carolers sang while Five tried to use his power to blink back to the subway that he and Delores saw.

"Blink. Just-" Five slightly stepped forward, "Fuck- blink." he cursed out of frustration.

"If you sneeze it works," Delores suggested, as people sent Five odd looks as they passed by.

He then rubbed his hands together, and Delores shook her head, "What's so important about this? I thought we were going to wait until later?" she asked, but then immediately shut her mouth as Lila approached the two.

"Doing your Kegels in public now, are we?" Lila asked Delores let out a small laugh at her words, and Five shot Delores a glare.

A sick and familiar feeling washed over Delores when she looked over at Lila.

Five sighed and looked over at his sister-in-law, "You know, just trying to stay limber. Not give myself deep vein thrombosis." he shrugged.

"Mm." Lila stepped closer, her face having hints of sickness still, "At your age, you gotta look out for that."

Five sent her a knowing look, "What do you want, Lila?" he asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice.

"I just wanted to say thank you." she shrugged, a cup of coffee in her hand.

Delores handed Five his coffee— which he took gratefully, as he looked over at Lila with a confused look, "For what?" he asked.

Lila hesitated, and looked around, "For not outing me in front of my idiot husband last night." she mumbled quietly— not wanting anyone to hear.

Delores raised an eyebrow— unfamiliar with this situation, "Huh?" no one answered her.

"Oh. Well, standard operating procedure." he shrugged, taking a sip of his coffee before speaking again, "Hey, so how worried do you think we have to be about this Cleanse thing?" Five asked, glancing between Lila and Delores.

"Hard to say." Lila's eyes twitched a bit, before stepping closer to the two— about to say something discreet.

"You know, I use to think the Keepers were ninety percent batshit," she then shrugged, "but since I've been roofied with dodgy marigold, "and I'm shootin' lasers beams out my eyeballs, I'll give 'em fifty-fifty." Lila nodded.
