『 you have me 』

LOOSING HOPE SHOULDN'T creep into Delores's mind this early into being lost.
Sure, sometimes she would doubt things, but not lose hope entirely.
Delores's dirty hair was tied into a high, messy ponytail, as Five and her were sat in a different train station, a blanket under them as they shared the disgusting meat of a subway rat.
It had been around five, almost six months of being lost in time, and Delores felt like she was already shutting down.
She had been so used to seeing her mom every time they woke up, driving to the café together, eating lunch together, and having Ash over for dinner.
Delores missed the homey and warm feeling of her mother, Beatrice.
"So it's only been a few minutes for my mom?" Delores asked in a hoarse tone, her face having smudges of soot from the past few apocalypses they were caught in.
Five nodded, and moved some of his messy hair from his face, "Yeah." he said, and stared down at the small amount of meat on the tray between them.
Delores saw how he looked— they both felt extremely guilty over the fact they were stuck in this situation.
"Do you think we could blink away into the next stop?" Delores asked, "I'm in the mood for a shower." she tried to joke, but Five didn't change his expression, nor show any signs of amusement.
"I don't know, Delores." he sighed and pushed the tray away from him— both of them barely eating.
it was quiet for a moment, which caused Delores to frown, pushing the tray away from them, as she moved closer to Five, "Hi." she smiled at him, and he weakly smiled at her.
"Hi." he sighed, as Delores put her hands on his shoulders.
"What's going on?" she asked, as she moved her hand from his shoulder to under his jaw, "You still don't sleep well."
Five shook his head, "I don't know." he said honestly, "I just don't like the fact that you have to go through this like I did." he sighed, "I just want to be back."
Delores nodded understandingly, "I know." she said, "But, Five, it's nothing like how you had it when you were young." she said, "You had it worse off." she smiled, "You don't have to worry about me, okay? We'll get through this shitty situation together."
