PHOENIX DIDNT DREAM ever since she got her memories back.
She kinda hadn't even really processed anything until now.
The fourth year mark of Five and Delores being trapped had just passed, and both of them didn't really think the next stop was home.
They just kept moving so they wouldn't go insane.
Obviously, they weren't going to give up, it just was hard to have hope when you've been searching for four years and have no idea how to achieve what you want.
Delores's hair was slightly messy, as she was sat on the floor of the subway, falling to sleep- then waking up when the train made a weird metallic creaking noise.
Her eyes kept shutting, then fluttering open again- pulling her away from sleep. She hadn't slept in like five days, and if she did, it was only for ten minutes randomly.
Five glanced at her with concern, as he kept his book- which bored him at this point- in his hand.
"Hey." Five moved off the seat he was on and shifted to crouch down in front of her. Her eyes immediately opened and she looked around.
"What?- What's wrong?" she asked immediately, and five frowned at her state.
"Nothing." he said in a soothing voice, "You should get some sleep, I'll wake you up at the next station and we can take a break." Five offered, brushing some of her red-tinted hair from her face.
Delores shook her head, "No. No, I'm fine." she lied- she had been overly stressed lately since she was finally thinking about how shitty her life was, and how she might never get back home.
Five sighed and shook his head, moving to sit next to her, and she sighed and leaned her head on his shoulder as he opened his book and began to read again to himself.
The book was boring, it was about the history of another timeline, and Delores, quite frankly, didn't understand his obsession that surrounded the book, but she never voiced that- she liked that he had something to kill time with.
Delores's eyes slowly began to shut, and she tried to fight it- but she thought that just keeping her eyes shut might stop her eyelids from being heavy.
