ONE TIME WHEN Phoenix was young, her father injected her with some serum— which was normal— but this gave her a reaction unlike any other.

He injected the glowing juice into her veins, and the next morning she threw up everywhere, and nearly set the house on fire, along with breaking all the windows in her room.

Phoenix was an absolute mess for the next few days, before adjusting to the odd power she then held.

She never really understood her powers, and neither does she now.

Delores was sat crisscrossed on the floor of the subway, as Five was lying on the blue and red plastic seats in the train.

"How long has it been?" Delores asked as she attempted to move her water bottle with her mind.

Five sat up, and looked down at her with a confused expression, unsure what she was doing, but ignored it, "About a month and a half." he said.

Delores sighed, and moved and sat on the seat across from him, abandoning her spot on the floor, "I'm sorry I yelled at you earlier."

Being forced with someone and only them for a while does things to your mind— makes you hostile.

Delores got upset over the directions that Five gave her, and he ended up messing up their schedule, which set Delores off.

She just wanted to go home.

Five nodded, "I know. I was wrong anyway." he lightly kicked her foot with his own, the sole of his shoe tapping against hers.

"Whoa." Delores smiled at him, "Someone get the camera, Hargreeves over here is admitting he's wrong." she smirked, and he rolled his eyes playfully.

There was a beat of silence. Neither of them really knew how to interact with each other. Here and there they would kiss, or have a semi-deep conversation, but there was always a silence between them.

Delores looked up at Five, his hair had slightly grown out, not like extremely long, but longer than usual.

"I'll cut your hair for you." Delores said, moved to sit next to him, and eyed his stubble, "Also you need to shave. Sorry, I'm not into beards." she exaggerated her frown.
