Chapter 126: Her Dad Was Quite A Wuss
Taehyung made another two attempts to call Chaeyoung, but the results were the same—no one picked up. Provoked by Chaeyoung's attitude, Taehyung repeatedly called Chaeyoung's number. The more she refused to pick up her phone, the more Taehyung was determined to call her.
By the time Chaeyoung was done unpacking and looked at her phone, she had tons of missed calls and a phone battery of 10%.
Chaeyoung put one hand on her waist and felt like cursing but burst out laughing instead when she noticed how childish that man that was almost half a century old was.
Did it mean that she had never called him this persistently then? She was sure that Taehyung would have already blocked her number permanently if she had. Knowing him, he would probably have blocked her number when she called for the second time.
She was such a saint compared to Taehyung.
Chaeyoung got her phone charger and charged her phone before going out for dinner. If Taehyung liked to call people, he could call all he wanted.
No one could stop Taehyung when he was acting childish, even at the dining table.
Wonhae was helping Siwoon with dinner and kept stealing glances at Taehyung who was feeding Soyi with one hand and holding his phone in the other.
"Are you busy with work?" Wonhae asked.
"I want to eat that, daddy." Soyi pointed at one of the dishes with her pudgy little finger.
Taehyung put down his phone and helped his daughter with her food, then answered his mother's question. "It's nothing." Just that that woman was not picking up his calls.
Siwoon had been keeping an eye on his little sister to make sure that she didn't eat any heaty foods. Soyi had tried to go against her brother once because she thought her father would back her up, but she realized that her dad was quite a wuss and would listen to her brother every time on things like this.
Meanwhile at P S Hotel, Chaeyoung and Jungkook were going for dinner when they bumped into Park Seojun and Mrs. Park who happened to be at the hotel too.
Mrs. Park was quite happy to see Chaeyoung and kept talking to her while holding her hands.
"Why don't you join us if you have not eaten, Mr. and Mrs. Park?" Jungkook asked out of courtesy. The two of them accepted his offer and joined their table.
"Jimin was telling me that you probably wouldn't be back anytime soon and I was so disappointed. Where are your two kids?" Mrs. Park had always liked Chaeyoung, and thought it was such a pity that Chaeyoung and her son didn't have feelings for each other.
"The children followed their father back to Kim Mansion," Chaeyoung said politely while taking a glass from Jungkook and giving it to Mrs. Park. "I will bring them to visit you one day. I should have visited earlier, it's just that I was busy with so many things since I got back."
"It is normal that you young people are busy with your own things. Jimin is hardly at home too," Mrs. Park sighed.
Jungkook who was talking to Park Seojun when he heard Mrs. Park and looked at her. "Has Mr. Park always been this busy?"
"I have no idea what he was busy with. Jimin was never this busy when he ran the hotel," Mrs. Park sighed again.
"Isn't it normal for a young man to build his career?" Park Seojun stared at his wife as he defended his son.
"Build his career? Look at how old he is now, and he doesn't even have a girlfriend!" Mrs. Park grumbled.
"I am sure that it is only because Mr. Park dedicates all his time to his work," Chaeyoung comforted Mrs. Park smilingly.
